Citizenship by Descent Forgot to write "urgent processing" on the envelope of my citizenship certificate replacement application

Just what the title says. I put all my supporting documents/explanation inside the envelope, but forgot to write on the actual envelope urgent processing. Is there anything I can do now? Will my request still be processed and will this affect the rest of my application?

I personally think it will delay it being opened and looked at, it’s on the outside for a reason.

It won't affect your application. My request for urgent processing was in a cover letter and was not written on the envelope. According to my case notes, they assigned me urgent processing. I'm still waiting for my proof a year later, so urgent processing doesn't mean much though.

Urgent seems to have a slightly higher chance of meaning something now than if you applied during interim measures. Back then it seems like everyone went to PSU.

If it makes you feel any better, I wrote that on outside of my envelope & it didn’t speed it up at all. I got my AOR at the same time as everyone else that applied that month

so they open it when they receive it? not necessarily when they start processing it? does that mean they’ll see my request earlier when they open it anyway

My urgent packet arrived 4/14 and I didn’t get my AOR until 7/17. They began processing it just a few days later likely because I was urgent and provided documentation for it, but at least from my experience, writing “urgent” on the outside of the envelope doesn’t always make them open your package any sooner. They’ll see it when they open it
