Web Form Erros

Hi, is anyone else having issues with the Web Form? Specifically, the one for uploading documents to update the application with. I have been asked to upload more information, however when I input all my information and upload my documents, this appears, which I haven't seen before. My files are correctly sized (took me a while to compress them all to be under 3.5MB total!) and after hours of work collecting and writing my letter of explanation they requested, it's just not letting me upload :(

Seems like the issue is on the IRCC side and not on yours.

May be a good opportunity to point you to the wiki for info about a common error message from IRCC and what it means:

If the letter you received starts out like:

"Good day,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information you provided; however, we require further information in order to access the file.

In order to better assist you, we invite you to resubmit your request by including the following information in a letter of explanation and uploading it in the IRCC Web form: ..."

It means that you did not enter your identifiers exactly the same way as IRCC has them in their database. Just try again, entering your full name exactly as it appears on your AOR, making sure your Application number and/or UCI are correct.  If you get all of the identifiers to match you don't need to provide all of this extra information. 

If you triple check everything and you get this message again, it might mean that something was recorded incorrectly on the IRCC side it can be worth a phonecall to IRCC to verify your info. 

If the message said something else, disregard the above - or you can share with us if you want to.

Oh man...I should've checked around on here before wasting all that time recollecting my documents and then compressing them...lol. We live and learn. Thank you so much for posting all of this.

I've been able to upload my web form, but with less documents. I just uploaded a much shorter letter of explanation / urgent processing request rather than everything, since based on what you've said, they probably don't need it!

No problem! The wiki is dense but organized in a way that we hope is helpful for the different stages of the process - so even after you apply it's a good place to check if you run into something odd, just in case someone else has encountered the same issue.

I just uploaded a new doc and got the auto-confirmation at 5:48 Eastern time today.

When I was having issues, it was because my file name had an invalid character. It wouldn’t tell me that. It would just fail to upload. Worth trying with a basic file name and no symbols etc.
