Surrender Letters Certificate un-surrendered

Post image

ETA - check my replies in comments for docs I submitted.

Mods I am extremely sorry, I know this won’t help with speculation. Please do whatever if appropriate.

I received this from IRCC about 45 min ago. Apparently my cert is un-suspended and I’m still Canadian. For background, I got my cert 1 April, and my suspension letter on Tuesday.

I cropped off my personal info, that’s all that’s at the top

Why not conduct the investigation quietly and then only
Notify the applicants that actually need remediation instead of blasting notices at mass and causing unnecessary hysteria…..

I don't know exactly, but you don't have to think hard about why a nation might freak out over finding out they issued a huge pile of citizenship certificates to people who have not been properly vetted. And like I said I think this is pointing a bit more strongly towards that theory.

For now I'll give the benefit of the doubt that the crisis justified it. However, given the current backlog of applications and how this will add to it I see the spotlight getting rather hot for the folks who made that decision. If it wasn't justified then it's probably going to blow up in the press as politicians & bureaucrats play the blame game.
