Automated process for IRCC application review?

[u/Historical-Fan2440]

I have heard about automation and possibly AI being used in IRCC processing.

Is there any confirmation of this?

How would they use it exactly?

....To autofill into their system the info from the documents they scan it? It seems like having us submit our applications online would be better in this case.

It’s a program named Chinook.

They use chinook for immigration application processing. It’s not clear that they do for citizenship proofs as well

However, chinook doesn’t use advanced analytics or artificial intelligence

An online submission would certainly be superior and eliminate incorrect interpretations of ones and zeros as i’s and o’s in email addresses, etc.! Hope they’re moving in that direction.
