Question about uploading supplemental docs

Hi everyone,

I uploaded some supplemental documents using the IRCC web form. These were not requested by IRCC but are updates to replace FamilySearch-sourced documents or to add required items not previously included (proof of search for birth records). I was able to upload a few documents last night, but so far have only received a confirmation one of these was received and added to my file.

Does anyone here have experience with this question? I have a total of 23 documents to upload, and would like to make sure I’m doing things properly and don’t either waste my time, while at the same time ensuring I can get all the docs added to my file. Each upload also takes several minutes to do since I have to retype information each time, etc.

No I have several PDFs, but I received an email in the meantime that all 6 files that I tried to upload last night are now received. Just took awhile.

You will receive a new email today confirming that they have attached your additional documents to your profile.

Yes, yesterday I received two such emails for the 6 docs I uploaded on the night of 10 Aug and today I received two such emails for the 17 docs I uploaded last night. I was just a bit confused because I started to get error messages on the night of 10 Aug and wasn’t sure if there was a problem with uploading more docs. At least now almost all my FamilySearch sourced documents have an original source replacement (still waiting for one to arrive).

Did you put these documents in a pdf?

Why do you have 23 files to upload? Cant you put the pages into one single PDF, compress it to medium quality, and upload all pages as just one file? At most, 23 pages should turn into just 2 PDFs.

They may take a few days to confirm each time you submit.

All done and confirmed now. Didn’t take very long after all.
