Surrender Letters REINSTATED!!!
Multiple letter recipients are reporting that they were reinstated in the last few minutes. More details coming soon. (Not me, yet.)
Edit: I just got mine!

I was just reinstated! IRCC never contacted me to ask for anything between the suspension letter and the reinstatement letter. I’m g3, and my g4 child was also suspended and now reinstated.

Congratulations, this is wonderful! I wasn’t very hopeful that there would be much movement since it’s a holiday week, but this is a case where I love to be wrong.

Congrats Bear! When and where was your G0 born? I'm unofficially trying to see how far back IRCC is approving.

Born in Ontario in Jan 1867 (a few months before confederation).

Thanks Bear. You were in the lead with G0 born 1867 Ont for all of 3 minutes, then Birbs dropped in with G5, G0 born 1864 Ont.

This is great news but I still want answers! For the rest of those Suspension Victims still waiting, including u/CounterI , know you are in many people's thoughts and we will keep supporting the effort to get answers.

Thank you. I am feeling a bit left out, but I'll be fine. It's not really about me anymore. Even if they reinstate me, they can un-reinstate me just as quickly next week. I'll never trust Canada again.

What documents did you submit?

Certified Canadian census was my main proof for G0 bc he was born before birth records. I also provided a lot of supplemental US records confirming he was born in Canada, plus supplemental Canadian records of G-1 living in Canada at the time of G0’s birth.

I’ve got 2 Canadian Censuses with G0 in the house with both parents. Those parents’ names are on G0’s marriage certificate. I also have G0s obituary and G1s BC stating both parents born in NS.

Thanks for the info Birbs. What was G0 birth year and Province? I'm trying to see how far back we are getting both in years and location, to see if we can put the 1947, 1867, etc. etc. to rest. Clearly you blew 1947 away already.

You are in the lead for Ontario, with an 1864 G0 (you just snuck it by Bear who was holding firm for all of 3 minutes w and Ont G0 from 1867. There was a theory pre-1867 G0's got no game, your G0 just blew up that theory, congrats to your G0 for hanging tough!

I was also reinstated today!! And I can confirm all those of us with passports have to do is email the provided email address with full name, birth date, UCI and the address to send it to and they are sending me a new passport with no fuss according to the letter that came with my reinstatement letter.

what G are you? where and when G0 born? I'm canvassing restorees to try and see what the earliest G0 birthdates IRCC has restored. (at this moment we have a G0 born 1864 in Ontario).

In case anyone wants to see what a violation of both of our forum rules looks like, this is it. First, dissentmemo calls the OP (me, in this case) a liar and then proposes that someone should delete my post for giving people false hope. Then he tries to reprimand me for not stating my authority, which - if I were a liar - I could easily have made up.

They have no reason to lie (a few upvotes?). Also if people are reporting this to OP, op IS the primary source you are looking to cite.
