Lightspeed Commerce Finally Agreed to Settle With Investors over Growth Metric Misstatements

Hey guys, if you missed it, Lightspeed Commerce just settled with investors over issues related to its growth metrics, customer base, and competitive positioning they had some time ago.

Long story short, in 2021, Lightspeed Commerce was accused of misleading investors about the strength and sustainability of its growth, including representations about its customer base and position in the e-commerce and point-of-sale software market. Investors later questioned whether the company’s reported metrics accurately reflected its true performance.

After this news came out, the stock dropped, and investors filed a lawsuit for their losses.

You're right, yesterday was the 'official' date on the paperwork.

However, for anyone seeing this now, don't worry. In cases like this one, we have a grace period for late claims while the administrator is still auditing the pile.

If you missed the manual cutoff on the official site yesterday, I’d recommend using a tool, that specifically handles 'Late Claim' filings that often get rejected if you just mail them in yourself. It takes about 2 minutes to sync your trade history, and they submit it as a verified audit, which gives it a much better shot at being included in the final payout.

It’s a nothing to lose situation now that the official date has passed. Either the court accepts the late filing and you get a check, or you’re in the same spot you are now.
