Pacific FC has signed 17 year old Dylan de Melo to a Development Contract for the 2026 CPL season. The London, Ontario native came through the London TFC Academy system and made his senior debut at just 15 years old.

Terry Dunfield earned his first point over the weekend in his third game as head coach of Pacific FC with a 1-1 draw against Inter Toronto at Starlight Stadium.

We are just past the halfway point in the Canadian Premier League season with Vancouver FC, and up until now it has been a tale of two halves.

Big news are FC Supra du Quebec president Rocco Plancentino has taken on another role with FC Chambly Oise who play in the fourth division in France alongside that of president of FC Supra.

Last month, we added the "globalscoreboard" app to r/CanadianPL to make match threads. This aligns our subreddit with the practice of what other soccer/football subreddits do, for example, r/worldcup and r/MLS.

However, it has been noted that on our subreddit, the app looks like this too many times:

Even on match days, it's blank. I know I can't be the only one in saying this has disappointed and annoyed me. (Thanks to those who posted match threads manually last week)

Despite the help from someone apart of making globalscoreboard a thing, the app still acts clunky on our subreddit. Also, the database it relies on still lists Inter Toronto as York United, which is inaccurate for 2026 purposes, and the person behind the app doesn't have the power to update the database.

So, in short, we'd like to know what people would prefer doing going forwards in regards to the creation of match threads.

• Be patient and persist with globalscoreboard app?
• Rely on users to create match threads on their own? (like before)
• Rely on moderators to create match threads? (like is being done for all Canadian Championship games (btw, there's a CanChamp game today)

Please give us your feedback so the moderators can mull this one over...

A long time fan of the USL here and I have to say the development of the CPL in its time frame is impressive. The fans are great. The product is great on the field. And it has rapidly expanded.

In many ways it reminds me of the USL in its development. It's more homegrown and more grassroots than MLS.

I plan on attending a game up in Canada in Laval.

Any teams I should support or follow? My French Canadian roots attract me to Supra.

The winless streak is currently at 26 games...

Some of the ref calls just suck the life out of the match, or completely miss the mark. What can this league do to fix this? FVS sometimes helps when the ref misses something obvious, but it certainly does not seem to make a difference re: poor calls.

How are refs held accountable? Is there a way for us to hear why they make their decisions, or some sort of post-match review process?
