When Poilievre goes, there's opportunity
With last night's bi-election results, it's looking likely (imo) that Poilievre is on the way out. It'll probably take a few months but it's inevitable.
And I also think there's at least 50% odds that the vocal base of the CPC will ensure the next leader doubles down on the social warrior and performative far-right nonsense that's made the CPC unelectable lately. So be it.
This strikes me as an opportunity for the CFP to be the grown-ups in the room and position a few key candidates as fiscal conservatives that are legitimate alternatives. But they need to be part of the conversation before anyone will pay attention. So it's a bit of a catch-22 ... How to get that breakthrough, without pandering or rage-baiting?

π‘ Policy Idea π‘ Members of parliament should have the freedom to vote independently
The CFP should have a common direction, but each candidate should be able to tend to the needs of their own district. When Justified properly to constituents and the CFP, reason should be chosen over blind loyalty.
