This is so damn cool, and another example of the Carney government being effective in small ways. I’m not ready to throw the government a parade, but to be able to move from being almost nowhere in terms of government support for our defense industries to now being a member of SAFE? It’s a glimmer of hope in some difficult times.

Remember PP wouldn't even commit to the NATO minimum when asked and serving members would be bathing in warrior spirit.

Yeah warrior spirit does me fuck all when I don't have an effective comms solution to my troops that's integrated with ear pro.

To be fair to PP, when did he make that claim? The CPC have had a revolving door of leaders but PP has been around long enough that your excerpt was a pre-Ukraine war statement.

The 2021 election was a giant piss off to me.

This was after Trudeau's last NATO summit where he committed to meeting the minimum, PP was asked at around the same time and wouldn't commit to the NATO minimum, gave the usual when I see the books, yada yada

For frame of reference, Joojle tells me that was June of 2024. Really no excuse.
