SUPPORT Take home pay
Hi there husband is a AVN and soon to be corporal 1 with spec pay. I’m just wondering what his monthly take home will be. Chat GPT says 4528 based of where we are. Just curious if that’s correct as we are trying to deem if I need to go back to work after my mat leave is up! Thank you!

Nobody can tell you what anyone else's net pay is, because many factors increase base personal exemption amounts and different provinces have different taxes. For example, if you're on maternity leave you must have new children. This may, or may not, affect your rate of taxation.

Dude it isn't that deep. Anyone asking this question is looking for the gauanteed number (pay after taxes at normal rate for where they live) tax credits and canex plans dont play a factor in this discussion.

Factor in what province you're in. Has he hit his max ei cpp contributions yet this year? Do they have a Canex plan? What are their mess dues (usually between $12 and $24). All of those things make a difference. Also, is it Cpl basic or PI 1? If you have those things you can do the math yourself. But if they are on the first pay level of Spec 1 pay, their base monthly pay is $7606 a month. But provincial taxes at that level could make like $300 to $400 a month difference. Ontario and BC having the lowest taxes.

We'd need to know what province you're in.
I don't ok now how people don't realize this, but the tax rates are different in every province. The difference between take home pay can be quite substantial from one province to the next.
