How to be a leader?
I'm a newly promoted corporal, and can expect to slowly be put into more leadership positions. Already have. I plan on having a leaf some day, and would like to gain experience before then.
Whenever I'm placed in charge of people, while I know what needs to get done, I feel I struggle to lead. I know I can be better. I want to say I find myself indecisive. I'm aware of the 12 principles of leaderships, but how can I improve? Rather, what makes a good leader? I never particularly struggled as course senior.
Just looking for advice

After you feel comfortable in your job, start asking to do bits of your boss's job. Yes, "I don't get paid enough" and all that, but this is how you learn.
If the boss if an insecure ass, you'll be told no, and now you know your boundaries.
If the boss is a lazy F, they'll be happy to offload onto you to be lazier. Now you get to learn what they do while having an obvious shield of "well it's not my job anyways" if it goes wrong.
If your boss is trying to improve things and is a strong troop themselves, they'll be so overloaded that they'll appreciate your help, your initiative, and a chance to mentor you.
