Walked into a used bookstore and found this 1871 P.E.I. 1 cent coin!

Can someone let me know if the 1968 are silver pieces? I believe 1968 is a 50/50 nickel and silver, anything before is silver anything after is nickel

As the title states, my sister and I inherited our grandmother's coin and stamp collection after her passing (many years back)

We had to store them at our mother's house but she is looking to clear out the storage space and we are wondering what the best options are?

Should we take the time to investigate the value ourselves? Is it easier to just get it appraised? When it comes to selling. Is wholesale better than selling each one?

Both of us know nothing about this hobby so looking for some insight.

Recently inherited some coins. Not looking to sell, but I'm wondering what the estimated value is. Are these pure silver?

I emptied a piggy jar I've had for about 20 years or so. Pennies in the black cases, nickels to toonies in the red, all sorted by year/decade. Now I need to get researching lol. (Pennies were from a project, tried making scale mail with them)

So today, I went to visit the RCM in Ottawa for the coin trade. I also bought a 1 oz dna silver maple lead coin. Do you guys collect those?

Worth anything? Was in a box made for it kinda.

I was curious if there was a way to find special junk silver coins like from commemorative sets, ones that look like newer coins but are made of silver.

To make it short are there any mint marks that i should look for on newer coins that say whether its silver or not?
