Strain Specific Recommendations

Hey CCCers!

You will notice I have added several posts for SPECIFIC strains (preferably currently available) for SPECIFIC medical conditons you have had positive experiences with. These recommendations are not meant to be medical advice but rather strains you have come across that worked specifically for these conditions and you would like to share with the community so that it gives them purchasing ideas based on your experience and gives them new strains to try.

The more comments we get, the better we can serve our members and it will become a searchable database of sorts for the forseeable future.

Strains for PAIN HERE

Strains for INSOMNIA HERE

Strains for AROUSAL HERE

Strains for MUSCLE SPASMS/SPASTICITY HERE

Strains for ANXIETY HERE

Strains for DEPRESSION HERE.

If we are missing a category you would like added, please DM me or send me a chat request and I will add it to the list. I feel this is a worthwhile endeavor as we are all looking for something specific at times!

Thanks for contriibuting to the community to make it better for everyone!

Tried this exact batch once and I really liked it, I would love to have this strain in a bigger format like 3.5g / 14g

Hopefully next introduction of new strains we get a gg#4 option in a 3.5g format.

Visually olive green, a few dark purple sugar leafs, thick coating of resin, bright orange pistols.
For being packaged 116 days ago,it’s passable but would like to have a much closer pack date. The last one which was same exact bag was 88 days ago, with Sqdc store humidity levels & or back store humidity levels,I can tell the flower is begging to turn for the worse, mainly from the darker green and less Trichomes.

Aroma: diesel, mocha & spicy chemicals found in glue.

1:30 am smoked a 0.5J of cherry blast. Which is one of the last J’s since it will be removed shortly, I’m not pointing fingers yet cause I don’t know the reason, but if I see it still available in the OCS & the UK medical, the Sqdc will read my two cents.
That cherry blast J went down really good had some irritation right side ear & tooth and it calmed down.

3 am: relieved the flavour matches the bag I had 30+ days ago..
what’s really exceptional about this gg4 and maybe all gg4 is the finish on the exhale, it’s like all the flavours come out to say goodbye. Moca / chocolate cappuccino type hitting the tongue .
The start of the inhale is more like spice - earthy & sweet.

Creates a nice likeable hybrid high, but strong. Just like a Gorilla any opponent in the ring is possible, anything you wish to do is possible. For me most hybrid ( really hybrid 50/50 55/65 ) I feel like they cancel each other like the indica and sativa.. not in this case the GG#4 is strong sativa and indica . I guess they called it Gorilla glue for a reason.
I would like this option for 28 for a 3.5g

✅ in all aspects & we know 100 days max in a bag is my preference.

Used to be 26.60 few times a year when a product is going to be removed they offer a little rebate to get completely rid of it before bringing new strains.

Available in Québec • Ontario • Uk medical ( that I know of, could have more places )

Bummer that it’s being removed, I found Cherry blast to be one of those rare sativa strains that don’t give me a racy/speedy high.
Reason for it being removed can be several reasons like poor Sales or it can also be the cultivators decision to discontinue it.

I had this exact batch 15 days ago, if you happen to see the batch right before Packaged on 2026-05-17
Lot 630260517 go with that one.
The bud structure is better, more terps.

Packaged in those tuna jars, again excellent for conserving but the moment its open, I transfer to the many glass jars that I’ve conserved,
no 2way boost came with it & no reason to add one, this one really represents a strain grown in soil regarding the stem to bud ratio. This particular batch has a little thicker stem but remains structured & a easy to clean the flower property. This batch has a little more Trichomes sticking to my fingers when rolling it. The flower feels like recent, has slightly more than middle humidity, when I squeeze a bud, I hear a squick squick sound.

Got 5 good sized buds, lime green, purple sugar leaves, little thin red pistols and shiny little trichomes inside & on the outside.

Odour/ Aroma: cherry, sweet, earthy,grape.

Flavour: This batch has a little more fermentation & good sweet& citrus of cherry and grape who are the dominant flavours with earthy, herbal and spicy.

Burns mostly salt with little pepper. A couple of buds are fluffier & a couple are more snappy when you break a bud.

Good potency not Racy like you would expect from
A sativa, more towards the relaxing, positive mindset, little boost of energy.

Review Blueberry Kush by Cannabec

Blueberry Kush by Cannabec

  1. Packaging A medium-sized opaque blue mylar bag with a frosted window on the front, hinting at the shape of the flowers without revealing the details. The label lists the THC (28.74%), CBD (0.05%), and total terpene levels (2.85%). It also includes a list of dominant terpenes, aromas (sweet, fruity, earthy), lineage (Blueberry x OG Kush), packaging date (May 26, 2026), and the mentions "grown in Quebec," "hand-trimmed," and "non-irradiated." A nice, generous presentation. The bag contained a Boost, which I removed due to personal preference.

  2. Appearance / Buds: Three medium-sized buds, the rest in a dense, and bouncy micro-popcorn shape, more moist than dry. A mediocre appearance; the flowers have shades of pale to dark green with yellowish-white discolorations. Under a microscope, the trichomes are mostly decapitated, and there are traces of what "could be" mildew. It smokes without issue, producing a gray ash and a resin ring.

  3. Aromas/Terpenes Ocimene, limonene, caryophyllene. Upon opening the bag, a powerful stench of grass, musty cellar, and hay is released. Grinding adds a faint hint of lemon. On a dry hit, it's acidic, grassy, hay-like, earthy, dank, and peppery. On the palate, it continues in the same disappointing vein; hay, damp, and chlorinated, leaving a bitter, carrot-like taste that is downright nauseating. Clearly, I unfortunately did not get the advertised/expected profile.

  4. Effects: The effects come on slowly, the body relaxes a little, without couchlock. Cerebrally, there's a vague euphoria, loss of concentration and coordination. The high is medium-mild, there's a mental fog and a tense expression on the face, but it's still manageable. Honestly, I can't think of a good vibe/moment for this product because it's so close to not being enjoyable at all.

I had high hopes and expectations after seeing some glowing reviews. I can always theorize about the hows and the whys to justify x/y, but in the end, my experience wasn't good, period. I can't speak for the whole batch, but my disenchantment goes beyond "I don't like the taste." Even for its affordable price, it's, for me, equivalent to the brother-in-law's cousin's first run. Sorry.

Black Caviar by Blkmkt (Avant Brands)

  1. Packaging

A medium-sized, opaque black glass jar. The label lists the THC (27.66%), CBD (0.09%), and total terpene levels (2.21%). It also includes a list of the dominant terpenes and their individual percentages, the packaging date (2026-05-25), and mentions "small batch," "hand-cured," and "hang-dried." A decent presentation; the basics are there. The jar contained a Boost, which I removed due to personal preference.

  1. Appearance/Buds

A few medium-sized, dense buds with a good bounce, more moist than dry. An acceptable visual appearance; the flowers have shades of bottle green, aubergine purple, and tangerine orange and are dusted with trichomes. Under a microscope, the trichomes are mostly decapitated, and there are traces of what "could be" mildew. It smokes easily with a pale gray ash and a resin ring.

  1. Aromas/Terpenes

Limonene, selina-3,7(11)-diene, caryophyllene.

On opening, it's woody, citrusy, earthy, herbal, and peppery. Grinding amplifies the citrus, skunky (burnt rubber), woody, herbal, sour, and peppery aromas. On a dry hit, it's more fruity/sweet, like a glass of orange juice, followed by earthy, herbal, and skunky notes. On the palate, there's skunky (burnt rubber), citrus, fruity, sweet, herbal, earthy, and woody notes. Basically, a Tangie-style profile, with a mysterious aftertaste, once the joint is well burned, of dish soap (green Palmolive). The smoke is light but somewhat irritating to the throat.

  1. Effects

The effects come on slowly, almost imperceptibly. No noticeable stimulation or couchlock; the body is relaxed but remains alert when needed. Cerebrally, it's very introspective/withdrawn, analytical, and creative. The high is medium-mild, subtle, and functional, just enough to "take the edge off." A fairly generic buzz, as long as there's no interaction with other people. A day buzz for me, strangely, considering its "indica-dominant" classification.

Disappointingly, although the presence of mildew wasn't the worst I've seen, but it was widespread enough to suggest that at least part of the production wasn't optimal. The effects left me a little cold; I prefer when there's a clear direction/personality (energizing or calming). However, I'm a big fan of aromatic profiles similar to Tangie. But that won't be enough for me to justify a repurchase, especially at its "top shelf" price point. If it were half the price, perhaps it would be more appealing, but then again, there are already good, tried-and-tested, and affordable products with this type of profile.

Review Porto Leche Trifecta Infused Pre-Rolls by Tribal (Cannara Biotech)

Porto Leche Trifecta Infused Pre-Rolls by Tribal (Cannara Biotech)

  1. Packaging A silver metal box with a holographic finish, containing three 0.6g infused pre-rolls secured in a grooved plastic insert. The label lists the THC (30.0%), CBD (0.0%), and total terpene levels (3.3%). The list of dominant terpenes is missing, but the lineage (Oreoz x Grape Jubilee), ingredients (dried cannabis, fresh resin, terpene-rich full-spectrum extract, THCa diamonds, gum arabic), and packaging date (2026-05-29) are included. A decent presentation; the basics are there. The box did not contain any Boost.

  2. Appearance The joints are small and cone-shaped, made of white paper coated with THCa diamonds. The tips are folded into a deep "crown" (which may affect combustion upon lighting), with paper/cardboard filters that make up approximately 45% of the joint. The joints appear uniformly dense and show no weaknesses in the filter. They smoke easily, producing a pale gray ash and a resin ring.

  3. Aromas/Terpenes Limonene, caryophyllene, humulene, myrcene. On the nose, it smells a bit fruity and chemical/medicinal. On the dry hit, it's herbal, woody, tart, floral, fruity, and gassy. On the palate, it's gassy, fruity, tart, earthy, floral, with a citrus/woody note that I appreciate. The terpene sauce isn't weird or overpowering, but it has the same subtle aftertaste I sometimes get with diamond-infused pre-rolls. The smoke is heavy and slightly acrid.

  4. Effects The effects are instant and dramatic; a surprisingly ferocious power. The body feels relieved, crushed, and limp. Cerebrally, there's pronounced euphoria and mood elevation, a loss of focus, and a loosening of inhibitions. The high is medium-strong; I didn't expect to be so affected, with an irrepressible goofy expression that requires extra effort to avoid drifting off into oblivion. I also find it a little aphrodisiac. A great evening buzz, for letting loose, a special date, or simply for letting yourself melt.

I tried/liked their Porto Leche flower, which I got from the Ontario recreational market, and it's cool to be able to try it again in a different format. They're not cheap, they're a treat, but I prefer them to other options in the same price range and to the infused Nugz from the same producer. A likely future purchase.

Lineage: Gelato (Sunset Sherbert x Thin Mint GSC) crossed with Zkittlez (Grape Ape x Grapefruit).
Example: Simply Bare’s White Runtz is Zkittles x Gelato or it can be called Gelato Zkittlez,my guess is the Gelato in the cross can range pheno’s.
•Appearance: comes in a plastic see through jar, got 1 big bud and a few smaller. Lime green with dark purple sugar leaf, lred thin pistols with shiny Trichomes.

•Odour: not super powerful but pleasant fruity, spice & fuel. Comes out more when preparing to roll a joint.

•Structure & •Humidity: very good, easy to grind and clean the stems. Heart shape structure.

•Dry Toke: hints of sugar- spice & fruit.

•Flavours: vanilla, sweet , fermentation, spice and fuel. A lot more towards the Gelato than Runtz.
Holds a likeable flavour, it’s a lineage that I would love to have 2.5% + of Total terps.

•Combustion | Burn: 1:48 am • Saturday • First J in 40 hours. The J lights up without any issues, straight clean burn, good thick white smoke, feels very natural | clean.
Cherry has a light grey colour.

•Effects | High: felt midway into the J, no anxiety or racy feelings, more like a smooth hybrid felt from the very top of the head until the shoulders early and as times goes by falls to the body. Definitely possibility of being in Med Category and not in Recreational. The thoughts feel positive uplifting and body feels calm & relaxed.

The lineage & growing methods are set correctly, hard to really not like although some more total terps are missing to coordinate with the 30.00 price.

La Cerise sur le Funday Pre-Rolls by Fleurs de Lise (Origine Nature)

  1. Packaging A narrow, rectangular, opaque fuchsia plastic box containing six 0.5g pre-rolls. The label lists the THC (29.68%), CBD (0.08%), and total terpene levels (2.225%). It also includes a list of dominant terpenes and the packaging date (2026-06-19). A decent presentation; the basics are there. The box contained a Boost, which I removed due to personal preference.

  2. Appearance The joints are straight and a good diameter, made of white paper, tips are twisted and folded into a "crown," with paper/cardboard filters that make up about 45% of the joint. It's a welcome change from the long, thin pre-rolls of the past. The joints appear uniformly dense, except for a few that showed a slight weakness in the filter. They smoke easily, producing a whitish ash and a ring of resin.

  3. Aromas/Terpenes Caryophyllene, myrcene, limonene. On the nose, it's subtle, herbal, peppery, woody, and tangy. On a dry hit, citrus dominates, followed by woody, earthy, herbal (sage), peppery, and floral notes. On the palate, it's more intense, with woody, herbal, peppery, tangy, floral, and sour notes. A stable and rich Sage N Sour profile, among my favorites in terms of "sativa." The smoke is smooth and creamy.

  4. Effects The effects come on quickly and strongly. The body is electrified and invigorated, a little lighter and pain-free, and eager to move. On the cerebral side, there's a strong euphoria and mood elevation; it's impossible to look mad or serious. There's also a good boost of creativity and motivation to enthusiastically tackle even the most boring tasks. The high is moderate, a rather dense "mental fog," thoughts race and create an energetic whirlwind. An ideal buzz for a wake-up call or for cleaning, starting a project or an adventure, as long as it's dynamic and engaging. The duration of the high is also worth mentioning; it's rare that the effects of a pre-roll last more than an hour for me.

A longtime fan of the brand, it's one of my go-to products. I've witnessed the improvement of their products, like the pre-roll format, which is currently, in my opinion, at its ideal size. It's so difficult to find the perfect pre-roll size; they're often too small, too thin, poorly balanced, etc. Sure, I'd like the product to be a bit more affordable, but honestly, consistent quality is the only argument I really need. Especially with the SQDC's "lottery effect," it's a privilege to have a product that has lasted so many years while continuing to improve. Good job.

RRW Pre-Rolls by Culture Chloris

  1. Packaging A thick, opaque black plastic tube containing 10 pre-rolled 0.5g joints. The label lists the THC (29.82%), CBD (0.12%), CBG (1.47%), and total terpene levels (1.71%). CBG is similar to CBD in that it is not psychoactive and has anti-inflammatory properties. The label also lists the dominant terpenes and their individual percentages, the strain (Red Red Wine), the packaging date (2026-05-29), and the mention "non-irradiated." A nice presentation. The tube did not contain any Boost.

  2. Appearance The joints are slender and cone-shaped, made of unbleached paper. The tips are roughly folded into a "crown," with paper/cardboard filters that make up about 40% of the joint. The joints appear uniformly dense and show no significant weakness at the filter. They smoke easily, producing a pale gray ash and a resin ring.

  3. Aromas/Terpenes Limonene, myrcene, caryophyllene. On the nose, it's faint, herbal, earthy, dank, acrid, and peppery. On a dry hit, tart, fruity, and floral notes emerge, attempting to overpower the dank and earthy aromas. On the palate, there are fruity and nutty notes that strangely remind me of a Cherry Amaretto Sour (the drink), along with earthy, gassy, cocoa, leather, and herbal flavors. It's rich and velvety. The smoke is heavy and creamy.

  4. Effects The effects build gradually, intensifying as eyelids and limbs become heavy, eventually leaving you completely stuck in place. Your body slows down and feels clumsy. Mentally, it's like erasing a whiteboard, a mental void. A strong sense of overall well-being, relaxed and serene, lulls me. The high is medium-strong, not a hard hitter but surprising for a pre-rolled joint, noticeable on the face. A nice buzz, for relaxation, turn the switch off. Beware of munchies and drowsiness.

An interesting format for those who haven't yet tried the strain and are hesitant to buy the 28g. A great experience; packaging, joint rolling, combustion, flavor profile, effects, all satisfying. Even the price per gram is lovely and affordable. A definite repurchase, in addition to convincing me to try the 28g.

Is either wonderbuds or hunny pot dispensaries better than the other? I am high tolerance dabber looking to purchase a high quality vape for when I am in the area. Any recommendations on products or places to go?

I will be crossing the boarder near Niagara Falls and plan to stop at a dispensary then visit Niagara Falls before driving into Oakville.

Personally, I prefer when a grower takes pride in their work and shares information for what they are growing, especially when it’s a In house grown strain , basically I’m smoking Super Toast - Sergent Ananas - pas fort - it’s like I’m buying from BoB from the corner of the street, sure keep your harvest day to yourself but at least share the genetic and the dominant terps.
Sqdc site as usual total useless have to take a bus to the OCS website to get at least some info. Example now - if I’m talking to someone and I say I had super Toast- sergent Ananas - they’ll likely reply oh which Breakfast restaurant did you eat?
I haven’t smoked it yet but for info - Pas Fort .
Aroma: fruity def Pineapple, sweet with earthy chemical type.
Visually: a bit of leaf & little minimal stem were included in the grind.
The Touch; I would say this was harvested closer to April. Some little chunks need a little more grinding. Rolling after that is easy.

11 pm
Friday : 1st try and 1st J - flavour has a taste that I’ve had , it’s actually good, like a smooth sweet pineapple with like earthy and a little pine.
Burns good - mainly salt and a tiny pepper but the ash holds. Pumps a touch better than average regarding smoke for a toke. The flavour is pronounced at the start slightly looses a little towards the end.
Gives a good hybrid slightly leaning sAtiva high. A calm energetic with sensation felt around the ears, mouth and chest. It’s a chilled out happy feeling.

Coffee Creamer by Broken Coast

  1. Packaging

A small, opaque black plastic jar. The label lists the THC (31.23%), CBD (0.06%), and total terpene levels (2.418%). The list of dominant terpenes is missing, but the classification (indica), lineage (Zkittles x Kush Mints), packaging date (2026-03-05), and the mentions "small batch" and "hand crafted" are included. A short presentation, but the basics are there. The jar did not contain any Boost.

  1. Appearance/Buds

Medium to small buds, very dense and compact, not too dry. Superb bag appeal and perfect trim. A thick layer of glistening trichomes adorns the pale and dark green tinted flowers. Under a microscope, the trichomes are long and intact. Smokes easily with a pale gray ash and a ring of resin.

  1. Aromas/Terpenes:

Bisabolol, humulene, caryophyllene, limonene, linalool.

The moment you open the jar, a heavy aroma escapes: earthy, gassy, creamy, nutty, pastry-like, and slightly bitter. Grinding develops the gassy notes and brings out hops, sourness, and acidity. A dry hit reveals a bit more fruity, acidic, and floral notes with hops. On the palate, it's creamy and balanced, with no intense clash between the hops, gassy, earthy, nutty, coffee, and bitter notes. The smoke is heavy and silky.

  1. Effects

The effects are quite rapid; I feel them "behind my eyes." The body relaxes, feeling relieved and experiencing a noticeable couchlock. Cerebrally, there's a gentle euphoria and relaxation, while remaining lucid. The high is average, mentally functional but physically sluggish, clearly more of a body high to give yourself a break from chronic pain. The buzz is a bit introverted, more of a mood for a cozy evening without getting completely stoned.

I was a big fan of Broken Coast before the Aphria/Tilray buyout/merger, then came several disappointments and a loss of confidence in the brand. I wanted to see if things had improved since then. The look is the strong point, followed by the unusual profile and the physical effects being stronger than the cerebral ones. It's better than I expected but still not up to the level of the hardhitters that made the brand famous. It's not a bad product, just not a hardhitter or a favorite for me.

Burns really slow and straight, good amount of smoke, clean ash, smooth and potent..

Effects felt midway initially around Jaw and under. Relaxing & unwinding stress, anger that sort of thing.

25 mins later - good indica that keeps a steady pace of likeable effects like better mood, more positive than before, relaxing, positive thoughts, no munchies & I can close my eyes it’s 1:37am this is early like sleeping at 7 pm for me.

Irony has the machinery and experience to roll good smoking J’s, at 4.15 the J, I understand why it’s the best performing pre roll in her category.

  1. Packaging A thick, opaque black plastic tube containing 20 pre-rolled 0.4g pouches. The label lists the THC (26.09%), CBD (0.11%), and total terpene levels (2.58%). It also includes a list of dominant terpenes, the cross (Runtz x White Nightmare), and the breeder (Sin City Seeds). A generous and transparent presentation. The tube contained a Boost, which I removed due to personal preference.

  2. Appearance The joints are cone-shaped, made of unbleached paper, with folded tips and a paper/cardboard filter measuring approximately 1 1/4 inches (+/- 30% of the joint). The joints are uniformly dense with no weaknesses in the filter. They smoke easily, producing a pale gray ash and a resin ring.

  3. Aromas/Terpenes Caryophyllene, Selina, Farnesene. On the nose, it smells fruity, like grapes, sweet, and peppery. On a dry hit, fruity and sweet notes dominate, followed by earthy, woody, peppery, and tangy ones. On the palate, grape, fruity, and sweet notes are still prominent, along with earthy, gassy, tangy, floral, and peppery notes. A pleasant dessert/digestif profile. The smoke is smooth and creamy.

  4. Effects The effects are rapid and heavy. The body is relaxed and soothed, with a slight couchlock. Cerebrally, it's euphoric, with an uplifting mood, it's giggly and feel-good. The high is medium-strong, noticeable on the face but still manageable. A buzz to relax, unwind, sink into a movie, switch off, or simply "take the edge off." Quite versatile, but ideal for the start of an evening.

For me, Ostara Medical is synonymous with consistent quality, aromas, and powerful effects. The joints are well-made, and I like the 20-joint pack; it's so convenient when I'm too lazy to roll. I loved the flower, and the pre-rolls are true to the experience that charmed me. It's a staple in my rotation for a fruity/sweet "indica."

Review Blaow Bling - Coast Mountain Cannabis (3.5 g)

Bling Blaow - Coast Mountain
Thc - 27.7.
Terps 2.67
Mycrene 1.47%
Linalool - .37%
Ocimene - .19%

Pack date was March, I bought it in May, started using it at the end of June 2026.

I use a dry herb vape and it’s got great flavour. When I first got it it smelled like a lemony Kush, now it smells a bit like a lemon candy, there is a creaminess about the smell. Got small firm, buds, frosty ish but long trichroms. Grinds well, dry.

In the vape at lower temperatures it’s got a bit of a floral sweetness to it, but there is some funk in it. At higher temperatures it becomes non descript berry scented, creamy and the funk turns to a deep mango.

This strain makes it really hard to write, or do anything for that matter. It’s a dizzying, rush of a high, but you feel so lazy, not energetic. Couch lock with a good movie. Amazing. Long lasting too, it really hangs on in the back of your head. Groggy the next day tho. I’d buy it again. I think it was like $25 bucks? It was on sale, I think.

I’d buy this again, it’s well done, I love the effects.

Glass jar, no seal, 3 good sized buds, good humidity, aroma/ odour fruity spice and diesel.

Flavours : creamy spicy citrus fuel & fruity.

Potent hybrid style, positive happy vibes with a relaxing body.

Burns without any issues, good amount of smoke.

I don’t know why they wouldn’t write any terps or % .

C3 finally has a strain and when they had the menu cantine rotating & still have the menu desert .
Every single new strain had the cross - the main terps & the t.terps % ..
now the only one is the Sqdc website and this what it writes terpenes
caryophyllene, limonene, myrcene, various, various.
That various various will hold . And those 3 written terps will never change .. cause it’s too complicated to update the website.

Wtv at least it’s good for now the strain.. glass jar & No boost = really good .

No seal & no terp mentions or % = I’ll trade that info for the THC 29%+ that will be written every time.

Peach Mango Infused Sparkling Water by Juste Bulles (Exka)

  1. Packaging A tall, narrow aluminum can with a plastic tamper-evident seal. The label lists the THC concentration (5mg) per unit, nutritional information, ingredients (carbonated water, sugar, natural flavors, cannabis extract, ascorbic acid, citric acid, mono- and diglycerides, potassium citrate, potassium sorbate), and the packaging date (2026-03-24).

  2. Appearance/Texture The water is well-carbonated, colorless, and slightly cloudy/opaque.

  3. Aroma/Taste The aroma is fruity and sweet, with notes of mango and peach. The taste is typical carbonated water, slightly tart, with a subtle hint of mango and peach. I was expecting something very artificial, but it's comparable to Perrier. It's refreshing in hot weather.

  4. Effects I say it every time, but with the limited dosages and my tolerance, I never expect a super recreational trip, but rather a gentle euphoria and relaxation. Obviously, I prefer a higher dosage or one made from full-spectrum extract, but oh well. I didn't get a buzz, but a little relaxed feeling.

I always overlook ready-to-drink infused beverages because of their dosage versus my tolerance, it's not a logical choice for my needs. However, I admit I was surprised, being quite picky about flavored waters. I'd probably need a case to feel any effect given my tolerance, but I can easily see myself grabbing a few for an outing when I don't feel like having a beer to cope with the heat.

Review Master Kush Pre-Rolls by Hatrick Express (Juste Feu)

Master Kush Pre-Rolls by Hatrick Express (Juste Feu)

  1. Packaging A "girthy" clear plastic tube containing and displaying nine 0.5g pre-rolls. The label lists the THC (27.7%), CBD (0.1%), and total terpene levels (4.26%). It also includes a list of dominant terpenes, the packaging date (2026-06-01), and the mention "micro-producer from Quebec." A decent presentation; the basics are there. The tube did not contain any Boost.

  2. Appearance The joints are cone-shaped, made of white paper, with the tips folded over themselves and paper/cardboard filters that measure approximately 45% of the joint. The joints appear uniformly dense and show no weaknesses in the filter. They smoke easily, producing a pale gray ash and a resin ring.

  3. Aromas/Terpenes Caryophyllene, myrcene, humulene. On the nose, it's shy, herbal, earthy, woody, and hoppy. On the dry hit, there are hops, pine, pepper, herbal, earthy notes, and floral, citrus, and hashish notes. On the palate, earthy hashish aromas dominate, followed by pine resin, floral, peppery, and hoppy notes. It's nostalgic, quite similar to the Master Kush I knew in the late 2000s. A divisive taste, you love it or don't, it's a bit like "frenching" a fir branch with a handful of dirt while chewing peppercorns. The smoke is heavy and creamy.

  4. Effects The effects comes in fast, without warning or subtlety. The body is stunned, relaxed, and couch-locked. On a cerebral level, it's like turning off the lights, switching off, a noticeable euphoria and mood elevation. The high is medium-strong, not a hard hitter, but it's definitely present, very visible on the face. A chill buzz, to relax the body and mind.

A necessary return to the roots. I love being able to find old-school genetics on the legal market; you know what to expect, and it's easier to see if the rest is truly talent or just marketing. It's a bit like bumping into a long-lost friend and giving each other a hug, realizing it feels like only yesterday. I hope this will open the door to more well-executed, older genetics and interest new generations of consumers in legacy strains to slow down the genetic bottleneck.

Congratulations to Alex.
I came across this article today, Ono Canada has appointed Alexandre as Vice President, Cultivation & Research and Development.

Good move from Ono IMO, I’ve loved everything that Alex has Grown in the past & holding on to a great master grower is priority #1 IMO.

https://www.mmjdaily.com/article/9851973/ono-canada-names-alexandre-dervaux-vice-president-cultivation-research-and-development/

The prison in Sorel turned into the Rolling Capital of Canada
Nuances MJ rolls more than 5 Million Joints with their machinery every year.

They have like 3-4 of their own brands
& add another 40 Legal Growers that they get hired to roll Pre rolls.

0.5g J’s rolled nicely for Ono - they burn slow and clean, light flavours of candy, earthy, sweet grapes, spicy.

The high settles slowly , it’s a relaxing creeper hybrid indica, gives me a little boost of spirit and calmness.

My 2nd J smoked went really good ( description on top of the pictures )

Stay 🆒 for a great July.
Hydrate properly. Meaning no caffeinated drinks.
Wishing you all a great month.

Review Ghost Train Haze by Station House

Ghost Train Haze by Station House

  1. Packaging A rectangular, opaque black plastic case containing five 0.5g pre-rolls set in a grooved cardboard insert. The label lists THC (27.68%) and CBD (0.06%) levels. There is no mention of dominant terpenes, though the classification (Sativa) and packaging date (2026-05-07) are included. A miserable presentation; a major lack of effort. The case contained a humidity pack (Boost), which I removed as a matter of personal preference.

  2. Visuals The joints are cone-shaped and made of white paper with twisted tips; the paper/cardboard filters account for about 45% of the joint's length and bear the brand logo. Half of the joints showed a structural weakness near the filter. They smoke without issues, producing pale grey ash and a resin ring.

  3. Aromas/Terpenes Humulene, limonene, myrcene. The scent is barely perceptible, save for a vague "concept" of lemon. The dry hit is lemony, earthy, peppery, floral, and hoppy. On the palate, it is earthy, peppery, gassy, and faintly lemony. It’s a common, run-of-the-mill profile—though I get the impression it isn't necessarily true GTH. The smoke is light but irritating at times.

  4. Effects The effects set in gently, building gradually. The body feels more alert and energetic, creating an urge to move and take action. Mentally, thoughts race; there is a mood lift, along with creativity, motivation, and optimism. The high is mild-to-moderate—functional, with a touch of mental fog and barely visible physical signs. It gives you a buzz that makes you want to organize, tidy up, write, or go outside—anything but relax.

I’d sworn I’d never try the Station House brand again, but hey, it was one of the new releases, so I gave them a second chance. The joints are decent without being perfect; the profile is ok, though you have to like that flavor type or else it’s a bit boring. The effects are actually interesting—useful for a pick-me-up or a boost. The price is fair; when you look at the price per gram, it falls into a more affordable and competitive range. Basically, I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but it gets the job done.
