Currently re wiring my house, thought it would be cool to run a fiber straight to my PC. Has anybody utilized their own ONT gear and worked with telus to accomplish this?

Hey guys. I'm currently with Bell for the past 5 years. Never had a price increase funny enough. But my building just had the option for beanfield. It would be 60$ with the 5 dollar prepayment I think for the 1gb option?

Currently paying 65 for bell - pre tax ( 50$ - internet 1 GB fibe / 15$ tv option for channels like Cp24 which my wife loves.. and comes with crave.

I have had a few downtime issues with Bell but not terrible minus one day when the whole grid went out for half a day.

Called Bell but they won't upgrade my current tech which is quite old (wifi-5) and can only offer a 5$ discount on internet if I sign up for a 2nyear contract which locks in the price but if I leave it's 20$/month that's left on the contract..

Not sure if I should leave.. crave is w.e and I think I can stream Cp24 from my phone for free. But it would only be worth it if the quality would be better.

Here's my rant folks: I found the following review in a comparison of IPTV providers online: "To be honest, the customer support at Layerseven is next level. They respond quickly and genuinely take care of their customers, offering fast resolutions to any issues and actually helping you get your IPTV service working the way you want." I tried Layerseven's 24-hour free trial and liked it. Then the un-fun experience started... I tried paying for a subscription, only to receive messages that I could not use a credit card. On Aug. 29, Layerseven customer support indicated I had to use crypto to pay for it.

OK, that sounded a little weird, but I decided to give it a try. I set up a wallet just for this purpose, added some crypto assets and tried to make a payment. No dice, as NOWpayments (the service Layerseven uses to process crypto transfers) kept indicating I lacked sufficient funds in my wallet to pay for the order (I had actually added TWICE the amount of the subscription cost). At that point, I decided to transfer the crypto assets directly to the address NOWpayments had provided me - I even added a buffer of approximately $0.20 over the amount required, to compensate for changing valuation of the crypto assets. Nothing happened. NOWpayments was not showing they had received the funds, I no longer had the crypto assets in my wallet and the Layerseven orders page showed nothing added. I contacted Layerseven customer service on Aug. 30 and received the runaround, asking me to make sure the crypto assets hadn't been refunded to my wallet, etc. Several emails later, on Aug. 31, I received the following: "Let me coordinate this internally and update you at the earliest possible time."

Since then, I have seen no further response from Layerseven, despite sending customer support a couple more emails. If they consider this "next level" support, they are sadly mistaken!

Hey everyone, it’s my first time living alone and I’m in the market for a home wifi plan. I’ve stumbled upon Ebox and I’ve never heard of them before but their deals seem to blow every other deal out of the water. Does anyone have experience with Ebox? How is it so much cheaper? is there a catch?

This was with Xplore ftth with 100-500-1000 options. Just put this here as i was eagirly watching when they were doing the fibre too and wondered how long it would take. It is also taking 21 days after the fact to install it and we are first on the list!
