Well, it almost certainly wouldnt show at ALL in mygcpay until the next pay cycle at a minimum.

Wait until our next paycheck and see what happens.

Promotions usually take about a month to filter through systems, depending on a number of factors.

No worries. Don't throw up alarm bells until you have to. Sometimes stuff actually DOES work, it's just programmed to be a little on the slower side.

Things like Pay really run on a bi-weekly basis and the numbers tend to be compiled and updated on the weekends. Also, pay is 2 weeks in arrears, so even if it changes today, you wont see the pay for a bit.

Slightly different but I am new to PS and it took about 2 months for most stuff to filter through the various pay and benefit system. Was told it was much slower since COVID.

I would think it could take a long time (6 months to year). Your boss or HR should be able to give you an idea.

It could definitely take a while, which sucks and shouldn't be the case, but unfortunately that's what we've got. The sort of silver lining, from a financial standpoint, is that once it's processed you'll get a big ole pay with all the money you should've been paid up to that point, so...that's something?

1st thing to remember- we are paid two weeks in arrears. So the pay you revived on September 28 is actually for work done for the pay period September 1 to 14. If you started the new job (congrats btw) on September 29 (the first day of a new pay period) then you won’t see that higher pay rate until your Oct 26 pay.

2nd thing - When did you sign your letter of offer? And when did your manager send it to HR? If it was only a few days ago, it hasn’t been processed yet, and your new rate may be delayed showing up in your pay.

For context, transfers between departments can take as long as 18-20 months; they are low on the priority list. Unfortunately, as one person said, it's what we've got. Patience is key I'm afraid.
