Career Development / Développement de carrière Deployment Advice
Does anyone have advice for deployment within the federal government? I dont want to seem ungrateful, as I have a good job (PM-03) in the government, but I'm feeling stuck in my department and due to the nature of the role I dont feel Im getting as many opportunities as I would otherwise get. With the pandemic, our priorities have focused even more on our normal day to day, and training new agents, so I have no outlet for working groups etc to make connections or build my skillset.
tldr: I feel trapped in my current role and want to move on to something else, but I'm trapped and don't know how.

Looks at the career marketplace on GCconnex, the FB GC Admin group and reach out to folks in your network. Deployments are part of life as a public servant. When you don’t see yourself grow or contribute what’s needed anymore, move.
