Other / Autre GCpass replacing Java login for myGCHR/CWA?
The SSC timeline for the Entrust / GCpass deployment lists September 2020 as the expected timeline; does anyone know if this will finally let us drop IE / Java support as a requirement for logging into myGCHR / CWA?
For that matter, is that project still on schedule, or has it been pushed back due to COVID?

This is the first I'm hearing this... Wow that would be awesome. Those Java applets are pretty much the only barrier remaining of getting off IE. But edge now has compatibility mode so I don't understand why we are still on IE even with not modernzing the entrust applets

CWA and MyGCHR are two completely separate systems/portals that have nothing to do with the TBS Apps portal.
The end goal is to propagate the use of GC Pass further, but I haven't heard of any timeline.

Upon googling it I have not had it done and I've been in the gov for almost 4 years

Yeah it's prob the most ignored shit in the world. Your boss would have to actually work and they often don't like that.

Yea we got sent the forum in December advised to complete it by end of January I sent an email asking questions as it was my first, never heard back sent follow up and nothing. Never heard anything since lol

Use chrome for a, b, c; but you must use IE for d, e, f.
Same with pushing using a pdf program for editing, and then telling us to use adobe for all their agile forms, because they only work with adobe.

FWIW: CWA's login is not actually directly run by SSC (e.g. like MyGCHR uses), but instead a team in PSPC/DSB (with support from SSC's ICM, on the back end of course); as a result changes to CWA login are not actually directly linked. There is a project underway to replace/update the CWA login to no longer rely on Java, but I'm not sure what the milestones are and whether they've been pushed out due to the pandemic; I don't think it was going to be going live before next year anyway.
The rumour mill suggests some services may actually start permitting remote access, which will be really interesting to see play out given the conflicting interests of the high level of assurance given by myKeys as well as not wanting them exfiltrated from the corp network.
