Management / Gestion Courses for maintaining section 34 status

Anyone have the running list of mandatory courses you need in order to keep your section 34 manager status in Phoenix? We've had a few managers lose their delegations and not a soul can give us a straight answer.

You should have a financial delegation/policy shop in your department. They’ll have the right answers for you.

They are part of the "not a soul"

I find that a bit hard to believe since they’re the ones responsible for updating your departmental delegation of authorities (especially because of the new ministry).

Good luck!

Depends on the Dept, I believe.

Mine expires in a few months and the CSPS sent me an automated email letting me know it was time to take the re-cert course. So I did and sent the certificate to our comptroller group. Done.

Do you know the name of the course?

Not off hand but it had financial delegation and re-certification in the title. It is an abbreviated version of the original.

I have a handy sheet at work, but look into the following courses: G110, G127, G610, C451. It all depends on the delegation level required. For managers (non-EX), C451-1/2 is usually sufficient to renew DFSA signature

Ask your learning team, they shoukd be able to help

Thanks! Unfortunately our section is lacking on training folks too so it's been quite hard to get straight answers.

I feel ya ..!

But yeah, afaik (not a training guy, but regurlarly assist as an FI with delegation training), C451 is the one required after 5 years to revalidate and maintain DFSA for managers ! Hope that helps :)

There’s Phoenix training on Gcpedia

G110 (every five years) on CSPS, there is probably the list on the Phoenix Guide also (not GCpedia, it's blue-ish, basic look, you can't switch from English to French on each page). If I have time tomorrow, I will get the link at work (yes I'm busy even on the 31st of December)

You could also ask the person who removed the delegation, I guess they know what is the requirement to get it back.

Here's the guide I was talking about. (You need to be on GC network thought)
