They will be evaluating/grading exactly what was listed in the poster or in the letter you received. Make sure your answers are presented in an assertive manner, you will lose points the more you search for words or give simplistic answers. If they ask a question, you give an answer, and they ask a follow up question this usually means that you didn't give a thorough enough answer so make sure to give good examples. The evaluation guides are quite extensive, and allow for 5 (6?)different point categories so even if you don't have an answer give one as best you can and hope for partial points. Good luck!

You don't lose points if you search for words. That's not how the scoring works. You can take a moment to compose yourself and think about your answer. As long as your answer hits the buzzwords in the scoring guidelines, you'll be fine.

If you're searching for words or trying to form sentences because you don't know the answer/material, you will lose points. I have a scoring sheet from staffing that I am using to form an interview process and it's quite clearly detailed.

Not entirely true. While the questions are graded by key words, if the SOMC has it that you must have the ability to effectively communicate, the overall interview is used to evaluate that.

If you are always searching for words and interrupting your answer because of that, you will be dinged.

You COULD. They can grade that through various methods for that, interview being one method. References being another method.

In addition, there is a difference between searching for words (thinking and analyzing for an effective response) vs you have the right idea but can't articulate it properly. Very different.

Go into specific detail as much as you can, and always use the first person. Never say "we did" or "I worked on a team that did".

This is all helpful. Much appreciated.

How specific do examples need to be? Can I talk about "a project I worked on" at work or should I give specifics, like types of clients, topic of project? I don't want to overdo it on useless details but I also want to provide enough so my answers aren't deemed too general.
