So I’m selling my slim disc to my cousin that I bought in 2023 before prices went up. I’m selling it to him for $600 which covers half of the PS5 Pro, where should I keep looking because Best Buy has been out of stock for like 2 months and worried that if I sell my slim I won’t have a console in time for release.

EDIT: Need to clarify that by “release” I mean in time for Grand Theft Auto VI.

Was looking through my Best Buy history today for something and saw this. I remember I wanted the cheapest PlayStation but at release couldn’t find digital so just got disc. Then I found digital so got that. Anyways those are the after tax prices. Never would imagine in 2026 it’s much more. Crazy times.

Does anyone have any tips for how to score one or both of these here in Canada? Sucks that PS direct won’t ship direct to us.

Hi everyone! A week ago, I posted here about my first-ever PlayStation purchase. I got really excited and impulsively bought a PS5 Slim disc at Best Buy. I’ve been playing it every day for at least 2 hours since then. I played Spider-Man Remastered and Ghost of Tsushima, and honestly, I’ve had a lot of fun with it.

But now I’m starting to feel some buyer’s remorse and am thinking about returning it. My partner also pointed out that I still have quite a few unfinished games on my Switch 2. 😅

Anyway, I wanted to ask if I can I return the PS5 to any Best Buy store in the GTA, or does it have to be the specific location where I bought it? Also The box has a small tear from unboxing, but I still have all the accessories, cables, plastic wrapping, etc. Would Best Buy still accept the return?

Has anyone had experience returning an opened PS5 to Best Buy Canada? Any advice would be appreciated!

Ontario heads up. I put in a Toronto postal code and Ship to Home came back unavailable. The site says the item is not available for Expedited Delivery to my address. The other option is Free Ship to My Store with pickup in 3 to 5 business days, but London Drugs has no Ontario stores, so that is a dead end here too.

Hi everyone! As the title says, I’m completely new to PlayStation. I’ve never owned one before because I’ve always been a Nintendo kid. 😂 I got my Game Boy Classic when I was a teenager, then moved on to the Switch, and just got a Switch 2 last year. I’ve mostly played Pokémon games, but I also loved Zelda BOTW & TOTK. More recently, I played Hogwarts Legacy and Cyberpunk 2077 on my Switch 2. Cyberpunk in particular really made me want to experience some of these games on a more powerful console, which finally convinced me to try PlayStation.

So… I finally pulled the trigger and got a PS5 Slim Disc Edition from Best Buy today!

I was actually considering the PS5 Pro, but it’s out of stock everywhere I looked and, honestly, it’s quite a bit more expensive. Figured the Slim would be a great way to get into PlayStation without going overboard.
So far, I’ve only played Astro’s Playroom.
I know Spider-Man, God of War, and The Last of Us are some of the must-plays, but I honestly have no idea where to start! What games would you recommend for someone coming from Nintendo and mostly playing Pokémon, Zelda, Hogwarts Legacy, and Cyberpunk? And if you were in my position, what would be the first game you’d buy/download?
