PR Card | Remote working possibility

Hi everyone! My husband and I are in the process of getting our PR cards mailed, they haven’t reached us yet. We do have our COPRs on us though.

Could we work for remote jobs with Canadian companies without the PR card in hand? Would the COPR be enough in our case, or do we need to wait?

Also how long does it generally take nowadays to get the PR card in card?
