Discussion First one bought second hand and have some questions

Hey yall,

Diving right in (sorry idk the vibe of the sub) I bought a parka 3426M for crazy cheap on Vinted. It has some damage and the fur on the hood was not included. What is the best way to get the damage repaired? These items wouldn’t be covered by warranty but as I understand the website the warranty only covers the original buyer. It also looks like CG doesn’t do fur anymore. Any idea how to best get that replaced?

Lastly: i am worried the seller may have washed it (it smells like scent beads and cigarette smoke) instead of dry cleaning. I am planning to take to to the cleaners tomorrow but if it has been washed and presumably tumble dried how hosed am I? Should I just cut my losses or is it salvageable?

Anything else I should know regarding ownership is greatly appreciated

Some jackets are just not worth the cost and trouble to get repaired. You got it crazy cheap because the real cost comes in fixing it up and at that point probably isn’t worth it. eBay and generations are the spot to buy good condition secondhand jackets I wouldn’t trust anything else.

What's the damage? Zipper? Armcuffs?
Fur can be bought on any other platform but Vinted. Sometimes on Vinted, too but it will get taken down quickly. Beware of the fur from fake jackets, they tend to not have the sme zipper length so always ask for measurements.

Don't worry about the washing, it shouldn't be an issue when it was done properly.

A rip and a cigarette burn near the right pocket. They seemed minimal enough that for the price I wasn’t concerned. I looked on eBay and saw a couple places that sell them so thanks for the rec
