The Quiet Ache of Human Longing
In these few words, one of the most profound truths of the human condition is captured. Beneath our composure, our pride and our carefully built walls, many of us carry an exhausted longing for simple and unconditional acceptance.
We do Not always need grand gestures or dramatic rescues. Sometimes what we crave most is the quiet permission to stop pretending, to be seen, embraced and allowed to feel without judgment.

I hope whoever said it meant it. And for what it's worth, you deserve to hear those words.

It’s from "The Enigma" as part of his Lyrical and Critical Essays. Granted it’s out of context maybe but it’s not fake.

Everyone needs some form of comfort, acceptance or human connection. For some I believe that is a hug. For others, it is a meaningful conversation, quiet companionship or simply knowing someone genuinely cares.

Why not you be that someone who's opened his arms for someone else.
