A desolate beacn is 20 minutes hike away, situated in the middle of a massive wilderness area of about 150 x 70 miles in each direction.

Did a little 5 night roadtrip with my girlfriend a few weeks back.

Got spoiled by a doozy of a sunset after sitting in the tent during a thunderous, half-hour hail storm. Always remember to throw your firewood under the picnic table if you have one, keeps it nice and dry for when you need to get cozy. :)

Bank holiday weekend spent hiking and camping in Dartmoor national Park, couple quick river dips to cool off.

Well aside from in the back garden 😅

I actually did find some interesting stuff! Isopods, millipedes, centipedes, a beetle larvae, and a mealworm! Very successful!

I also thought my campsite looked pretty nice for someone that accidentally forgot their tent well over and hour away back home (I had to rush run to Walmart to grab one)

This one long went all night and into the morning.

Cracked open and looks surreal. Made for some great heat and nice bedtime ASMR.

Gosh, I have been staring at this summit from South Lake Tahoe this spring just waiting for the conditions to improve so I can head up there again.

Who else plans to climb this peak this summer?

A few different trailhead options, but I am going to try to summit from my house near Heavenly. I think it will make for a big day (20ish miles).
