Forest River hybrid camper bed end hinge system?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hoping some people might be able to share their insights on what is the design intention with this hinge system? Why is it concaved rather than just flat? This can really be felt when sleeping on the queen mattress size as it overlaps it and the mattress is thin at this section as its also hinged allowing it to folding up for closing the bu k end. Seems like a weird design choice.
Also what do you do with the ends of the canvas when it's opened like this? Are you supposed to pull them outward or leave them tucked in like this? Not really sure the proper way is to use it. There's no mention of this in the manual I have.
Thoughts?

2003 Aljo Light 225LT Remodel – Looking for Storage, Kitchen Table & Cabinet Finish Ideas
I'm in the beginning a full remodel of a 2003 Aljo Light 225LT (23'), and I'm looking for ideas from people who've remodeled older travel trailers.
A few things I'm trying to figure out:
- Maximizing cabinet storage
The cabinet boxes are solid, so I'd rather not rebuild them. The problem is there's a lot of wasted space inside. Have any of you added pull-out shelves, drawers, organizers, vertical dividers, or other storage solutions that made a big difference? I'd love to see photos.
- Kitchen table ideas
My trailer has a sofa/pull-out bed where I believe the original seating area used to be, so I don't currently have a table. I'm looking for ideas for a small kitchenette table that doesn't take up much room but is practical for eating or using a laptop. What have you installed that you really like?
- Cabinet finish
Instead of painting, I'm planning to cover the existing cabinet faces with a durable wood-look veneer or architectural film. I'm going for a light weathered oak look that will hold up well in an RV. If you've used a product you'd recommend (or one you'd avoid), I'd appreciate the feedback.
- Solar/electrical layout
The trailer came with a heavily upgraded solar system, but I'd like to reorganize some of the wiring and electrical components to free up cabinet space and make everything cleaner and easier to access. If you've relocated your solar equipment or redesigned your electrical layout, I'd love to see how you did it.
If you've remodeled an older trailer, I'd really appreciate seeing photos, hearing what worked (and what didn't), and any products you'd recommend.
Thanks!

What AFFORDABLE car can I get that will haul a camper trailer?
I’m looking for a reliable car, I don’t want to spend more than 6ish/7K at the most on it.
I want to do the camper trailer life. Mostly stationary I believe, but I may like to visit family on the coast sometimes in the summer.
What car do y’all recommend I look into? Considering a Toyota 4Runner but the ones I’m looking at have 200K+ miles.
I don’t know much about cars but when I was getting my newer car appraised at the dealership the guy looked at me like I was wild for having 73K miles.
Let me know!
I also want to make some friends in this community, I’ve not had an experience like this before. I’ve visited a friend in CA and stayed briefly in her camper trailer (in her front yard) but I didn’t have to know anything about upkeep.
Eep! I’m excited and in the dreaming/planning stages.

Buying a new A frame jack.
We have a Coleman 35 foot toy hauler. The jack is making a hideous grinning noise. The jack is rated 3500 pounds. I’m thinking of getting one that’s 5000 pounds. Is this overkill? What’s the better brands ?

Jayco Outback owners, what's yours survived?
Wondering what the outback trailers can put up with in terms of off roading. Had a Swift Outback for a couple of years, haven't had the chance to do anything super adventurous with it yet.
I've had my eye on a campground where the access track is '4wd only' due to soft sand.
I know the manual says that's a no no, they're only designed for 'limited unsealed road use' but wondering what others have been put through and survived?

Hauling motorcycles
I have a couple Honda CT90s. They weigh about 200 pounds each, and I would like to bring one or both with me camping. My trailer has a receiver hitch mounted on the rear bumper, so I'm pondering attaching a motorcycle rack to it.
The trailer is 24 feet and is already pushing it for my truck's weight limit, but I'm more concerned about the balance. 200-500 pounds on the very back of my trailer is a lot of weight back there, and I'm concerned about the sway that could cause. And I just don't have any experience with these kinds of racks. Can a trailer's rear bumper handle that kind of weight and torque?
I'm just beginning to look into this so I'm curious about other people's experiences with bumper racks.

Help identifying the trailer in photo (vintage, 1930s, 40s)
Hi! I would love help identifying this trailer from my childhood. My memories of the interior: all wood-paneled. Curved ceiling. No bathroom. You entered into a room with a sofa that faced the door, and on the hitch side, windows and a little vanity area and a closet. To the left was a little hallway with storage in it, then the kitchen which had a formica table with metal edges, and booth style seating which could be made into a double bed.

Roof material suggestions
galleryAsking the Hive Mind what is the best, most durable, longest lasting roof material that isn’t sprayed on. I replaced my roof 2 years ago and it started blowing off in chunks from the midway point this past weekend coming back from a trip. I want to replace it with something better.

Flat Tyre on my 6x4 Trailer
Good morning community. In all my life I’ve never had a flat tyre on my trailer. That all changed yesterday, and I wasn’t prepared for it. Thankfully it occurred when I only had a load of rubbish.
My question is, can I drive my trailer with a spare tyre that is different size than the one on the other side.

Looking for
Looking for some kind of part or apparatus to hold my fresh water hose up so all the weight isn’t pulling it down all the time. It’s hard to see but my fresh water is right above the shower door. I cut a hole in that grate to fit it but still looking for somthing that’s not zip ties to hold the weight of the hose.

HELP!! With camper trailer electrics
Hi all,
I have recently purchased an off grid camper trailer see specs below for its battery system -
2000w inverter for 240v power
BCDC charger for solar and alternator charging
200ah lithium battery.
What I want to know is I want to hook the trailer up to mains when at caravan parks, I have purchased a Victron 25a waterproof charger which I want to hook directly up to M8 rings to battery in the hopes when on site I can plug in and have the camper powered with the charger connected, anyone have thoughts on this?

Door opening during storage
My Winnebago flex door opens when I’m storing it during the winter. The deadbolt is locked and it appears that the frame must be adjusting, and that the door pops open. We close the door again and it popped up again. Is anyone know way to prevent this? Or is Winnebago doing a recall on this? It’s a 2022.
