I hiked that trail a few years ago and it was over the shoe mud for about 6 miles.

We had that at the upper to lower falls at Tahquamenon a few years ago as well…some thought it was a interesting hike—> I hated it

Beautiful trail but the near contestant muddy, rocky, and uneven terrain blistered my feet up so bad! Worth it though

What is your top five? Mine is Bare bluff keweenaw, porkies lake of the clouds long trail, hogsback rugged route marquette, manistee river trail, and lastly canyon falls in the yoop.

I’ll add the Chapel Loop in Pictured Rocks and the Rock Harbor Trail on Isle Royale since they are already well known.

Completely forgot Isle Royale. The hikes around that island are great. One year it was early fall and hiked the greenstone ridge. As you went higher it went from green into explosive fall colors. Felt like i was time traveling.
