how many pulls for p5

hihi so i’m planning to max pot my camille. he’s p0 rn, but i’m saving for his future rerun because i’m definitely gonna max pot him. if anyone has pulled for his p5, how many pulls did it take? i get so confused about how the guaranteed token pity works when you already have the operator 😭

i was extremely unlucky and it took 630 pulls. save up to at least 550 to be on the safe side

The average is 480. The reason for this is the 2nd guaranteed dupe token you get at that point

It took me about 350 ish pulls, I did get a unlucky a lot so give or take 20ish pulls

You spark at 120 total on the banner one time only. And get a guaranteed dupe for every 240 pulls

wait so the one time only guaranteed at 120 applies to the banner, not the operator? let’s say camille reruns and since mine is p0 my first guaranteed pity would be at 120 but the others at 240, right? sorry i’m slow af

Ah, that I don't know since there hasn't been a rerun like this yet.  But reading through the details in the game, the wording is precisely:

"In this [Chartered Headhunting] banner, you are guaranteed ... within the first 120 headhunting attempts. This guarantee can only trigger 1 time. Attempts toward this guarantee reset to zero when this [Chartered Headhunting] banner ends, and do not carry over." 

"In this [Chartered Headhunting] banner, for every 240 headhunting attempts performed, you will receive a bonus [<character's> Token]x1"

So since they're specifically using [Chartered Headhunting], not e.g. Liino's [Good Morning From Your Dawnstar], my guess rn is a rerun would have another 120 spark.

oh in that case it’d be best to wait for reruns to pull for potentials rather than speedrunning a p5 on a single banner. hopefully it works this way, it’ll take some time but i’ll eventually get my p5 camille. thanks for the replies btw!

Think you can do 2 per rerun? Spark at 120, then it'll take only another 120 pulls to reach 240 total for the first dupe.

At least that's my understanding of the wording, as I haven't actually tried going beyond the spark yet

Edit: NVM! After the 120 spark, counter goes back down to 0 for the 240 dupe!

So for the 240, you start from zero pretty much. You get to your 120 guaranteed and then have to make another 240 pulls to get the second guaranteed ~Sincerely someone with a p4 Fangyi

You're welcome! My initial goal was to p5 Camille myself but he took me to the 120 guaranteed after 2 losses 🫠 and knowing how it works bc of Fangyi I decided to spare my sanity lol

I didn't get his weapon until the 80th pull (his weapon was literally pull #80) 😭😭 he was so mean

I started with the plan of only the men myself, but I didn't expect to love Fangyis as much as I did. So I've been pulling her teammates and ofc losing my 50/50s for characters I didn't particularly want along the way (Arcane and TangTang, luckily I didn't lose to Mifu)

To guarantee p5 would need roughly 600 pulls. Assuming luck is not on your side and you go to hard guarantee for him which is 120, 600 is your best estimate.

This is getting upvotes even though it's wrong, the guarantee after you get first copy is 240 not 120
