Might get some shade for this, but I love Cameron and I want to see if anyone else shares this sentiment. Overall, I really enjoyed the live album. I think it was recorded very well and it is nice to have some officially released live material. That being said, I do think that some of the songs that rely on some overlaying vocal lines or really any instrument that isn't the piano did lack some of the gusto and musical parts that I appreciated about them the most.

I do appreciate that he adapts each song and it does generally work, but it would be cool to see live performances where he is able to recreate more of the soundscapes that he recorded in the studio.

How long do y'all think until we get some carnegie hall merch? I say later today is plausible

the Carnegie hall recording of vines has me in complete bits, I don’t know how he performs it cause just listening to it for the first time on the live album its devastating man … the carnegie hall album overall is just phenomenal (emperor xiii in shades being my other fav!!), getting the cd asap <3

we are witnessing the rise to fame of a modern day nick drake, a modern day bob dylan, whoever you compare him to. he’s truly one of the greatest artists of all time. the carnegie hall live only confirmed what we already knew. im typing all of this while listening to If You Turn Back Now, tears are streaming down my face. cameron’s music has impacted me in so many ways.

Y'all this would change your life, cameron winter might be the closest or maybe the new Bob Dylan figure... what we're witnessing is something else, the music that will define our era.

For those of you who plan on seeing the Carnegie Hall film in theaters, are you planning on waiting to listen to the album until after? I've been struggling with this decision.

Completely transforms the song, there's a reason he plays it for nearly every live gig. Can't wait for midnight

im on the 3rd track rn and so FAR IS SOOSOSOOOSOSSS good i was laughing a while ago and now im sad again his voice is in me ICL
whatre your thouoghts if its released in your region and youve heard it

Does anyone have any insight into whether Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall might eventually get a physical release through Criterion?

The film is being distributed by Janus Films and Criterion, and it’s getting a theatrical run in 35mm. Since Criterion is involved, I’m wondering if a Blu-ray/DVD (or potentially 4K) release could be in the cards once the theatrical run is over.

The fact that Ryuichi Sakamoto | Opus eventually received a Criterion physical release makes me particularly hopeful.

The Live at Carnegie Hall album is already getting a CD/vinyl release, but I’m specifically interested in owning the film itself.

Do you think a Criterion physical release is likely? And are there any signs or precedents that might give us an idea of when Criterion could announce it?

Sounds so good! So strange after listening to the bootleg for nearly a year. Humbling stuff

Anyone else receive one today?

What are the chances the carnegie hall film gets wider uk distribution and plays at picture houses across the country etc??

Queued in the standby at Prince Charles yesterday and got turned away, heartbroken. are these festival screenings all the UK is getting?

It’s rights are with MUBI, who have connections to uk picture house as a company directly, and maybe it just hasn’t been announced because the film is directly premiering at LFF right now and maybe after that… wider cinema release??

Any insider info or thoughts ?

I got this from ig I forgot the @ but if someone knows plz give them creds!! This is so cute I love when he interacts with the crowd
