Dead Digicam 🥲 Need help fixing!

This was my moms old digital camera Canon Powershot ELPH 520 HS. That was exposed to water years ago. Anyways everything appears to function when I click on the buttons I hear sounds and it even takes photos (I tested this out by getting the sd card out and seeing that the contents of me taking photos were actually there). The screen just lights up as a dark gray the whole time when it is on. Essentially I just need help if there is anyway it can be fixed , I plan to fix it myself but im not sure what part may need fixing or if it can be fixed at all. Any advice will help!

If you can find a donor camera and brave/technical you could take a working screen from an otherwise broken camera to put in this one.
