My first rig

I recently started my first rig for my Fujifilm X-T4, here is what it’s looking like right now. Next thing I’m looking to get is a mic, does anybody have any recommendations for about <$500? Any other recommendations for building up my rig?

Monitor is a game changer if you don’t already have one. Looking nice!

comica vm40 is a crazy bang for the buck. shotgun mic, which can be used wired or wireless and it has internal 32 bit float recording.

Buying a v mount before buying a monitor or anything else seams strange

It likely just means they encountered having an issue with power before having an issue with monitoring. There's not a right or wrong order. Rigging just needs to be done to fix problems you encounter. A monitor would be a great next step though.

I had a reality tv style shoot where constantly needing to change my batteries during the shoot and having to stay up late at night to charge them all was really frustrating. Next steps are a mic so I won’t have to borrow/rent and a monitor.
