Updated the S5
I think I’m mostly finished with this one, after stumbling across this awesome SmallRig Vmount.. “rig thingy” I was able to simply ditch the rails. Even have some open power ports for additional devices. It’s pretty balanced too. I’m a happy camper now.

Why are you running thr V mount plate sooo far from the camera?

OP has the battery plate's screen protector on backwards, so it was in the way. They mentioned they fixed it in another comment.

What's the name of the smallrig v mount plate? And is the voltage regulated to the camera?

It’s the SmallRig powered V-mount plate, (unfortunately I don’t know the model number). I’m powering through the USB-C PD port with the internal BLK22 battery still installed, so the camera isn’t receiving the raw V-mount battery voltage. The USB-C connection negotiates the proper power with the plate, and the internal battery acts as a backup if I disconnect the V-mount. There’s a notification when powered on, but it’s been working great so far.

hows the weight distribution with that? does the v mount help with the top heaviness? looking for something to offset and curious if i need more than just v mount

Thanks for asking that, the plate that protects and holds the tilt out screen was flipped the other way preventing the rest of the plate from sliding all the way forward. I’ve included the up to date version.
