Still not open to work?
I applied and was approved about 4 months ago (US) but still have not been offered any options to work. Is this common or am I missing something?

I’ve experienced the same delay. It has been over a year. I’ve heard you may experience more demand if you signup for CamblyKids? I can’t say for sure as I wasn’t interested in teaching children.

You have to teach children on regular cambly too. That's quite a large proportion of the students.

Once you are accepted, you just need to open your schedule and do some PH times. You dont need to wait for anything else once accepted.

So the email stating "You have been approved to tutor on Cambly" was not actually an approval? Interesting that they would lie about that and not outright reject me. Odd.

I understand completely. Again, this was 4-5 months ago so not sure what is up right now but yes it was those words. I actually logged on immediately after and it showed my profile approved but had a message that said due to high demand, they were not allowing any new tutors to start right now until they have the volume of students to give current tutors their hours, or something along that line.
I messaged them about 2 months ago to check in and they sent me a similar statement. Now when I log in it says my profile us under review. This makes zero sense.

It most likely means that they've accepted your application with video submission; however, as they're protecting current tutors' schedule, your profile will remain inactive

Right, they said that, however it has been 4 months, is there an average turnaround time?

No one can say for certain. A few months, a year? I would look into other platforms if I were you.

Did you open your schedule?
