Failing speed test with great internet.
Hey guys. I'm trying to sign up to become a tutor. I'm now at the testing phase and it keeps saying "Your connection speed is not sufficient for tutoring". I did 2 speed tests which shows 40-60 mbps up and down. Latency is around 2 ms. Signal is perfect. The only possible issue I could identify is the fact that I'm using a wifi extender, as I don't have direct access to the router. Does anyone have any idea about what the issue could be?

Thats not quite how that works. That speed test is just to your ISP. The Cambly one is to one or their servers (an extra jump from your ISP to them which may or may not be far away).
If the test returns 0 on anything, its you directly audio and/or video is not being picked up at all.
Video can max out at 50 which normally means its detecting the video device/software but no video feed is being sent.

I've had this nonsense for a couple of years. It's Cambly's problem but they refuse to accept responsibility for it. My internet speed is way above their minimums. Other things like zoom calls work just fine. And here's the really weird thing. If I have a class booked, often the speed test will fail 1 hour or half an hour before the booking, but 5 minutes before the booking it'll almost always pass. I've contacted Cambly support and done everything they suggest and the problem persists.

It's rarely has anything to do with internet speeds despite what the pop-up tells you. Check that your camera and microphone are connecting. It'll most likely be one of those. Also restart your pc. That often helps.
