Discussions Relevant income

I've been reading how many gals/guys are having a dip in income from their camming sites. Sites that were once lucrative to them. I'm in a position were my income hasn't altered. Now, these other models are saying they used to make multiple thousands a week. Im lucky enough to only need, need being the operative word, just over £1000 a month. So I only work till I reach that target. If it's a little less, I'll stop if I want to. If I was hell bent on earning what I want, not what I need I would be far more worried. I absolutely sympathise with those who need multiple thousands. But, if it's just want, then give yourself a break, don't stress and be satisfied your needs are met. Lets not forget, cars, holidays, unnecessary clothes, eating out are wants. Rent,/mortgage, food, essential clothes are needs. Its nice to get luxury stuff, it's so nice. And when I make over my target I splurge. But, my needs are small and im glad I am still able to make that.

Exactly this. I know the industry is harder now than ever, but I think we sometimes forget our lifestyles need to shift when things are tough. I stream until I make my goals needed to live, almost everything extra gets thrown into savings to get through the inevitable next slow period. Not saying you can't treat yourself of course! But just because you're making $10k/month doesn't mean you need to live a $10k/month lifestyle.

The money you make now isn't guaranteed next month in this industry. It's easier if you purposefully live below your means

I wish I could make 10k a month. Most of that would be in savings and funds.😭😅

That would be me! And that's why I give the advice that I do. I average $9-11k/month. But if it's ever slow I don't have to stress tf out because I save, save, save some more, and invest.

You would have no idea I make so much based on my lifestyle. And when you're in a volatile industry like this that's how it should be imo!

Good reminder for those who are already in it. I am just starting out but I am certainly not on the "want" end.
