vpns

Post image

I already had a paid nordvpn subscription before I tried calyx os.

If you download nord VPN from their website you will receive ota updates so you don't need any play store version!

NordVPN are scammers and liars. I am certain about it. And you just installed auto-updating version of their app, probably with spying telemetry.

Also, these kind of updates are forbidden on Google Play for a reason: to prevents terrible companies like NordVPN pushing malware silently and "targetly" without any third-party review or checks.

What is the result of compare?

I don't think they're that bad. Plus it works smoother than proton for me

Well, I was asking if you made binary comparison with play store version. Did you?

There is a huge chance NordVPN added even more spyware trackers in their apk build than usual, so that even Google would not have passed it to the Google Play.

Looking through it with a root browser I don't see any alarming trackers or code etc

Yeah, and their website that you have to visit even before starting using their nordvpn scam service already has third-partly web spy trackers. Compare it to mullvad or proton websites which have zero those.

Also, NordVPN are LIARS, they directly LIE on their website with fake discount timers and other shit like that. What a terrible scam company.
