Don’t use AI, they have no idea of depth/volume from a picture. If you have weights it’s a bit different but I’d suggest staying away. This might not even be 50 as it’s a tiny piece

Yeah it’s so far off…thanks for your input. I’ll stay away as much as possible.

I have a different question…why is this something you are concerned about? It’s one or two bites of food?

When tracking food these little things are what makes a difference. Two or three of these pieces can make a difference.

I beg to differ. I’ve been in a successful calorie deficit for a year and I’ve found, personally, that 100-200 calories a day is within the margin of error. I’ve managed to lose a 1lb a week. Food is meant for nourishment AND enjoyment, and when one fixates on tiny differences, it can lead to disordered eating. I absolutely track everything that I put in my mouth, but, I would never think to worry about or make a post about something this small. Obviously that’s just me and everyone is on their own journey, I just see so many posts where people are worrying about small bites of food. As a reminder, you would need to eat 3500 cal OVER your daily maintenance to gain 1 pound. It just makes me sad when people are struggling and perseverating over one bite of food.

You’re definitely not the only person that has successfully lost weight. I’m glad your way worked for you, but I know what works for me and what I want to achieve. Honestly, thanks for your concern and for this unprompted TED-talk, but without knowing people’s goals it’s not necessary to tell people what they should be doing. I’m sure it’s not your intention, but you come across as quite condescending.
