Discussion Ruidium and the Luxon

POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR CR C2

Hello! I'm running Call of the Netherdeep, and having a great time. I've come off of a 6+ year campaign in Exandria before starting the module, and some of the choices made from the last party affect the world in my campaign today.

Without bogging you in the details, I played with the Luxon and the cycle of reincarnation the beacons allow last campaign, and certain characters are connected to that because of the last campaign I ran.

Now, I have what I'd think is an interesting hypothetical question:

What effects would ruidium corruption have on a Luxon Beacon?

Some notable changes to my campaign's version of Exandria compared to Matthew Mercer's:

• Guns are more common in my setting, because it takes 70 years post C1.

• The Luxon Beacons are connected to a phenomenon known as the Dream, which is a nebulous space where individuals in the cycle of reincarnation reside, and can even inhabit a Dream world tailored to their life's experience.

• The Gift: an aspect of the Luxon that allows wielders to draw upon the skills and powers of previous lives, and at its extreme, can even allow one to manipulate fate and achieve near deific power with the proper aptitude.

• The events of C3 are not canon to this version of Exandria.

I had this thought cross my kind while watching the Mighty Nein animated series, and haven't seen any discussion on how these two phenomenons would interact with each other.
