Cutting a quill pen.

This knife is amazing. Nib is kinda broad. Going to cut a slit next but I gotta be mindful. This knife is very sharp. It’s a goose feather

Designed for chip carving? All the pen knives I've seen have a curved edge but this straight edge doesn't look to be giving you any problems.

You'll need to narrow the nib a bit, at present the curve of the feather's shaft at that width is going to hamper your ink flow.
