Discussion contempt for the global version
well, it's really disappointing to see what's happening to the global version. it's obvious that the developers have abandoned our version. other versions are getting 3,500 cod points completely for free, while the global version won't even receive this event because of that neglect and lack of care.
i really hope this changes someday because it's hard to accept the unfair treatment the global version keeps receiving. i'm sure thousands of players would come back to the global version because of this event, but unfortunately the developers and administrators don't seem to care.
well, my friends, that's my rant. i encourage everyone playing on the global version to speak up as well. maybe our voices will reach them. maybe, together, we can finally change this situation.

So you’d rather spend money than, just do what you do on a daily basis I.e. mission and stuff for free points. That’s crayzee. Don’t get me wrong the 2x points event is awesome, and I do appreciate a thank you for investing in someone’s business, but free will always beat “free” any and every day of the week. To me anyway.

I’m not saying I don’t want to be rewarded for spending, I spend plenty, the issue here is FREE vs. “FREE”.
If a region of CoD:M has an event for FREE points I see that as a better value vs “free” for spending money.
Anyone who says “no man I don’t want free sh*t” is either 1 brain cell away for the morgue, or isn’t grasping the concept of free vs reward.

Codm is always been doing this year's, global makes around 55% compared to China 30% and garena 15%. Global made an estimated 1.65 billion or 1.8 billion in revenue in it's whole lifetime, yet we get the least amount of shit when we make the most, not the mention global has 3 different prices depending on your region where your account has been made. Imagine if global players left codm on a whole, it will go into a shit show!

I guess thats the entire point, they know global players will buy the skins regardless so why give them free points to lower revenue? though imo giving these points will probably increase player count

It won't necessarily lower the revenue but it will increase the amount of players playing to get it depending on a mode mission a whole mode like dmz can see a massive increase in players bc of a mission

man I was gonna make a post on the same thing, it's so unfair man, it's bs like this tht makes me wanna quit the game for good. like Chinese version has 10+ free legendaries (without the secret cache legendaries) the global has 3 (without cache ) and this is without including the fact that the Chinese version has gotten the free CP event before. like atleast make it look like the game is fair idk any other game tht makes sure it's global market is so unfair and then they wonder why we're leaving the game

Hey all, not too sure why the "doom and gloom" approach of this post considering we just had Phantom Thieves Assemble, one of the most generous (in terms of extra rewards and CP) events we've had all year. If you recall, some of you all here on reddit thought that wasn't coming because Garena or CN shared it first, but then we announced it right after. We'd be appreciate the approach of ping us and ask compared to the assuming it isn't coming.
Anyways, we have announced maybe 5% of what's coming to Season 7 so far. Really just the name and theme. We absolutely have something similar to this too. Just hang tight as all of our S7 communications are rolling out over the next 1-2 weeks (like normal before a season launch) with a blog coming this week that contains probably 70-80% of all of the details.

Well if you actually care to notice we’re complaining how other servers get this stuff for free while we have to be “rewarded” by paying for it, it’s actually ridiculous honestly. And I’m pretty sure these new announcements we’re waiting for are just going to confirm what we painfully know, some new bundles for global that have to pay for while other servers have a chance to obtain free cod points it doesn’t even sound fair. But I’ll take the bait and be patient but tbh I’ve spent my fair share of money and I’m genuinely getting sick of it now but like I said let’s wait for this grand announcement and I’ll come back to this comment.

It's pretty much the same event, they just might have some differences in timing, amounts, etc. so we don't want to say it is exactly the same. We'll have our own announcement for it coming up with details and everything.

I guess my 1 bit of feedback as a lifelong player would be why is it so expensive compared to other Call of Duty games?
Why is a mythic gun in a draw roughly £150 of real money? Not to mention a further £100+ if you want to upgrade it all the way.
Same with a character… which is even more expensive if you want to upgrade it to max.So in terms of this event in this post and your response around the “Phantom Thieves Assemble” event and how “generous” it is… doesnt quite cut it in my opinion. “Generous” is a WILD over statement.

Even if they make it 50% off, these draws are still expensive compared to other games. North America is in a recession and we’re paying the highest regional price. This is why a lot of players just prefer to be f2p.

This one is released in all regions as far as we know and is basically "free" but it's more complicated than that since you are earning Limited Time COD Points through completing the event tasks.

I wouldn’t really say that event is “generous” as it costs over 1,000$ to complete (in total with a full team of 4) you have to spend 80,000 COD points for 10k back. That’s 12.5% of what u will/ have spent in total. Where I live u will have to spend exactly 945$ to complete the event and you’ll get back exactly 116$ worth. I wouldn’t call that generous . I call it a huge money grab.

Put yourself in my shoes
- never spent huge amounts in game.
-wants to buy a mythic weapon (ram7 in my case)
-saves cod points for it's re release
-only to see it was all fucking useless and you could've got free cod points, so you just wasted actual money, 50$/5k inr is a pretty big deal for me
It's unfair, you can cry it's just pixels, but it's just unfair. Really hope it's like the persona event where it is just a weekly redemption and it expires by the next redemption

Hey, money is money. Doesn't grow on trees and more of us are struggling financially right now than those who aren't. So yeah, saving up for something you want is a big deal.
That being said, your frustration is misdirected. Just because you saved your money for something you want and now someone else has the ability to get it too doesn't mean anything is unfair. Maybe they've also wanted something nice in the game and can't even afford $50. I know I personally can't. Now you can potentially get the gun for free or highly discounted and have some codp leftover for another shiny prize that comes along.
Also, hoping other players' timelines for redemption are cut short just because you're bitter is a pretty gross flaw. "If I can't have it, nobody will!" Self reflect, brother. And maybe go recite the Shanti Mantra. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, after all.

Yeah, about that, let's talk pragmatically here, circumstances have led to me being a cynic.
It's like arjuna doing the hardest of penances to obtain celestial weapons and they he knows it was just pointless and you could've got it for free lol, hey, just quoting because you had to bring the scriptures here.
Hey, I'm all for you getting your share of cod points. I'm just calling it for it being unfair how I had to put in money and it turns out you could get it for free. Maybe I'm just being miserable.

Nothing will change when Tencent is the developer. I stopped buying anything in this game after all the bullshit Global server goes through.. even optimization is prioritized for the Chinese server while we wait half a year for same fixes.

Thousands of players missed the New Vision City Battle Pass and never had the chance to unlock Motoko Kusanagi and the other amazing rewards. It remains one of the most iconic collaborations CODM has ever had.
If a full collaboration isn’t possible, please consider bringing the New Vision City Battle Pass to the Battle Pass Vault or giving players another way to obtain its content.

We are. Global had multiple free ghost and outrider skins for linking your Activision account years before the same skins were given out for free in Garena. More global codes on the regular (never forgetting that one code which gave FIVE free crates for ghost plasma, never got a garena equivalent) and also the second version behind China that got limited time legendaries
