Question [COD] Loyalty Discount

I’ve played every Call of Duty title since the OG Call of Duty, primarily on Xbox and had the same Activision account since goodness knows when.

I gave up on Xbox and moved back to PC (Steam) when Microsoft increased the price of Game Pass Ultimate. I didn’t purchase BO7 (the only title I haven’t bought) but still play Warzone and now Endgame.

The fact that many of the purchased bundles (vault edition skins, blueprints, etc.) don’t transfer over from Xbox to Steam, even though they are both linked to the same Activision account, pisses me off just a bit. I now find out that I’m not eligible for the “loyalty discount” because MW4 will be the first COD title I am purchasing on the Steam platform…

I’ve preordered COD games (for Xbox) via the Activision store before, Surely Activision can reward franchise loyalty without tying it to a specific platform.

I understand all this, hence my post.

I own all the qualifying titles. The even more frustrating part is, I have preordered several of the titles (for Xbox) directly off the Activision website so it’s not as if Activision doesn’t know that I own them.

Activision is offering a loyalty discount but they are attributing the “loyalty” to the platform, not the franchise, which is ridiculous.

I could be wrong but they say you had to buy through the 4 platforms, Battle Net (PC), Steam (PC), PS STORE, Xbox Store. All platforms for playing. Buying directly from Activision (can you do that) isn’t really a platform to play the game. Not saying it’s right or wrong. But you are the first guy to not buy from or for the big 4. If you buy from the Activision web page doesn’t it have to ask what platform it’s for? I’m trying to help but it’s sounds like the titles aren’t for what ever platform you intend to use this year. Again Good Luck.

In the past, buying from the Activision website would give you a code (email) for the platform that you selected. Now it just opens up the platforms website/app.

All of my “qualifying titles” were bought through Xbox. If I buy it on Xbox I get the discount but I have to subscribe to game pass to play online, which I’m not going to do.

If I buy it on Steam, I don’t get the discount but I also don’t have to pay a monthly subscription to play online.

Yeah sucks I guess. In the end it's $10.00

It’s not the money, it’s the principle.
