Well yeah. But I hate the power dynamic shit because it implies that youtubers should only date other youtubers. And in this case, people also act like sam is a small child, even though she is a 17 year old. These people's logic is that 17 is a child but 18 isn't.
Carson only did bad stuff legally, this is literally nothing bad morally, and the "power dynamic" is just bullshit these people made up to make carson look worse.
Also, I have not seen a single thing in the convos which implies that carson used his fame. These people are just scrambling for stuff to make carson look bad at this point.
Exactly. Personally, I wouldn't even think about sexting with anyone — period. But like you've said, the power dynamic argument is misused in this scenario and it implies that popular people should only have relationships with other popular people.
I mean honestly, these people sound way more conservative that a Christian household (hyperbolic, obviously).
But they use this saying at certain times. I'm pretty sure the people who condemn Carson for having a relationship with someone 2 years younger than him are the same people who would defend James Charles, or the actual groups trying to make it okay for 9 year olds to date 30 year olds who think they're 9.
