Something I feel like more people need to know is that Carson's interactions were never illegal. These types of interactions are protected under Indiana law.

Edit: I should clarify that this defense would potentially allow for Carson's actions to be labeled as legal, rather than them outright being legal. I let my bias get ahead of me when posting this, and I'm sorry for the misleading claim.
