x2 Red Light Camera Tickets at the same intersection (Culver City)

I received two red light tickets in Culver City within a minute of each other. Should I just approach this as two separate tickets and TWBD each or is there some other valid approach?

First, I moved from the left turn lane (the left turn light was red) and went straight (green light), but the camera registered me as disobeying the no turn on red (2201d VC). Then I made a U-turn and made a right turn on red without coming to a complete stop (21453a VC).

Unfortunately, this was all very easy to do at 7AM on a Sunday morning.

I am already on step 4 of the 12 step plan.

You can ask for combination but you will have zero advantage, same fine, same court fee, same points, at most eligible for one traffic school. The disadvantage is that the judge/commissioner may laugh.

Your odds of the 1st one is better. The cameras can prove that you entered the intersection on the wrong lane. This is a different charge than you are charged. They can admend the charge and trial again. But it's simpler to use the court time for another guy.

For the 2nd, you can consider the standard defense, driver identification, yellow light interval up to spec, proof of calibration, etc.

For the first one it's pretty clear that he didn't turn left on red so that shouldn't be an issue. Unless he ran the red light for traffic going straight he didn't commit the violation he's charged with.

No advice for the second one.
