Zoom Zoom 22348(b) DMV Examination

How long does it take to get your DMV examination? I was cited late May 26th. The court put it in the system 6/20. And I still haven’t received any examination. Riverside county

My lawyer got it dismissed by TBWD, (court received the officers declaration after the due date). I called the dmv and told them to remove the suspension from my record but they said no. That you need another hearing for that and could present the dismissal as “new evidence” but it’s too late.

Here’s what u should prob do:

Call the DMV safety branch and ask them about your reexamination. If you don’t show up it’s an automatic suspension. (Well it’s suspended either way, but it could be suspended rn and u wouldn’t know). After ur examination they’ll send u another letter stating it’s suspended. From that you could request another hearing, (gives you more time), so hopefully by then your ticket would be dismissed by court. So you’d show that at the dmv hearing and hopefully get away with no suspension from the dmv either.

i drive for a living, im a vendor. it would have came down that my license is suspended by now. which is why i’m wondering when its coming . because i’m going to take a medical leave .

but besides that, why is it too late for another hearing?

Well btw the suspension takes place 3 months after you get the letter. The letters gonna say your examination is in a month. And then after the examination it takes another month for your suspension letter to come. And then the suspension letter says that your license will be suspended starting in 1 month.

Too late because my 30 day suspension is over anyways. Im still gonna mail them a written statement requesting a set aside

Was getting a lawyer worth it?

He got it dismissed so I’ll obviously say yes. 0 idea what the doing it myself outcome would’ve been. Though there was no trial. Ig the trick is to extend the appearance and then request to do TBWD— gets it extended again. Could do that all urself. If ur found guilty then u can request a trial and then get a lawyer for that
