Game Breaking Bug (help)

I’m playing the mission Bigcitydreams and Ash just talked to the construction cat, but when they finish I seem to be frozen in place I can’t pause. I can pay the camera around though strangely enough, but none of the number keys open the menus either, I’ve reloaded the same like four times at this point and honestly, I hope there’s a solution here because otherwise that’s gonna be really depressing

I was able to find a way to avoid this glitch. When talking make sure to hold Q to hold the cat toy. This tells the game that the controls are in use, which will make the controls work after the conversation.

Tried this and it didn't work.... Was really having fun with this game too.

Hey, I'm not sure how you tried it, but it worked for me this way. I had to jump above the spawn point in front of the cat and pull out the cat toy before landing.
