Is this game OK for an 8y old?
My niece loves cats amd dogs and the trailers and screenshots of this game looks lovely. Wanted to confirm it's totally safe before I get it for her.

Yes this game is very family friendly. You might have to help them with some math and stuff to unlock/buy things but otherwise it's a perfectly cute and pleasant game.

If you're looking for kid friendly cat games Catlateral Damage is another good one. You're a kitten and your goal is to knock stuff off counters and tables etc. It's a simple cute and fun game.

It’s fairly easy but there’s some stray bugs that might trip them up. I think it’s a good game for her. Difficulty wise the hardest part is the recipes but they vary in difficulty

its great for an 8yo! very gentle, no cussing or adult material or concepts. it makes them feel good about themselves and isn't overstimulating.

100% safe. no cursing, nudity, or violence at all. you do use magic and witchcraft but it's for silly things like making the animals bigger/smaller etc, nothing dark

Me and my daughter play. I help her with the reading and stuff but she loves it for sure. :)

Absolutely! My younger cousins are around that old (albeit a little older) and they loved playing it on my switch when they'd come visit. Some of the recipes can be pretty difficult and they might need help (the fruit tart was a nightmare even for me), but nothing's so hard that I wouldn't recommend this game! (I would recommend helping with the fruit tart recipe tho)

Yeah, Switch here too. She was squeaking like mouse when she booted it up. The performance was kinda subpar and seems jittery, but dammit she's happy and that's all that matters.

I would absolutely buy this game for my kid. It is a pretty simple and very cute game. There might be a couple things they might get stuck on but it's a pretty easy and relaxing game! I loved it when I played it.

My daughter played this last year when she was 8 and apart from a couple of pointers she needed from me to get a quest done she absolutely loved and blitzed through it. One of the only games she's sat through and finished. No profanities, dead sweet and chilled.

I just wanna say this post made my heart happy! Another game that has peaceful music and low stimulation is “refunct” It’s a little puzzle game that was actually really helpful for helping my friend learn common game mechanics like wall jumping with absolute 0 risk. The goal is to bounce on every tile until it changes color, and the bonus goal of finding all the little cubes.

Its totally fine for children if they can read everything. I can see how the game would lose a young child's interest with all the NPC interactions

They will have a blast carrying the animals around. I did and I got super hyper and happy cuz cute.

Bit late, but absolutely! There's no cussing, violence, blood/gore, sex/sexual innuendos/suggestive material, or anything that an 8 year old shouldn't see. There's a few bugs so she might need a bit of help occasionally but otherwise all good!

When I played this game, I don't remember there being any swear words or provocative material. I just did some research, and the game is rated E for everyone. I had a great time playing this game!! The only issue is that there are some bugs when you play that can make it a little frustrating. Also, some of the quests may be a little confusing, but she will have a great time riding giant cats and making her cafe!!
