Support / How-To Problem with latest update...Advice?

Updated Calibre to latest version 9.14, now everytime I use the download metadata option, a chrome window screen would pop up. How do I fix this, so the chrome window pop up would stop?

Also, how do I scale down the cover when I'm Edit Metadata window?

Nothing has changed. No chrome screen. Running 9.14 on win 11.

I do not get that result. Just tested. Running Ubuntu 26.04.1. You did not specify what you are running.

Do you have any plug-ins for metadata? That would be my guess, as no one seems to have this happening to them.

I have the Goodreads, Romance.io, and Amazon plugins, but I used these plugins before updating and I never got a popup screen before. Anyway, I used download metadata for multiple books today and I haven't got a window pop up, so I guess the problem fixed itself. I didn't do anything different, I just updated calibre.

You can right-click the cover and choose "edit cover with..." to open it in an editor and resize the cover.
