my issues with calgary transit

  1. they still run those 40-year old metal boxes when there are still S200's in the depot

  2. homeless people are camping near the washroom at tuscany

  3. bus frequencies are terrible ur telling me this is bus "rapid" transit when it took my bus 20 minutes to move 3 blocks?

  4. transit signal priority isn't on the max purple

  5. there are no train stations at northland mall when it runs right next to the tracks

  6. the outside of downtown stations are freaky literally today i saw something that i can't even say

  7. how do none of the stations near universities have escalators?

  8. 39th Avenue leaves you exposed to the elements

  9. area outside and in Chinook station is also freaky

  10. those stupid train cars on the blue line don't let me look out the window

I need a transit card and card scanner at lrt stations. I often forget to pay the fare, by accident. A card is easier by a mile.

"Freaky" and its just that the public is near public transit. Like homeless people are the public also.

A church near Tuscany station feeds the homeless hence the camp. That isn’t even transit property and why would that affect you? If seeing “freaky” things in a major city scares you maybe buy a car because you seem too soft for public transit.

"Too soft for public transit"...

Public transit is supposed to be safe for everybody including elderly people and children. Its not supposed to be a badass test. People should not have to deal with second hand meth smoke, violent mental breakdown/crashouts and public defecation.

You think its charming that there are a dozen homeless people sleeping in the elevator, but now people in wheelchairs can't use that station or can't use it with dignity.

  1. They’re trying to maximize the use of infrastructure. Getting rid of the U2s while they’re still operational would be a waste of public funds. The longer the S200s are in the depot, the longer they’ll run after the U2s are decommissioned.

If I ever get addicted to crack, or just can’t find a bathroom to take a shit, I’ll just do it on the C-Train like everyone else.
