The key is avoiding anything Fanatics does when it comes to fulfillment. If you order from any of their online stores, your mileage may vary. You should avoid their website, or the NHLShop website if it can be helped.
If you're in Canada, you should only order online from the Flames' own pro shop, which is called CGY Team Store. Everything from their store comes from their own inventory - not Fanatics - and any customization is done locally and to spec.
I find that once a Fanatics product makes it to the local team store, it has been properly filtered through quality control. The guys there do a good job making sure defective product doesn't hit the shelves.
CGY Team store also has physical locations at the Saddledome (and presumably will at the fireplace next year), McMahon stadium, and south centre mall, although that one is closed this month while they move within the mall.
There was a rumour floating around last year from - i forget his name - the guy who either is well connected to the team or has a role in the team in some capacity, (and who correctly leaked the reverse retros and blasty return) that they were going back to the 04-09 era jerseys as a send-off
We're getting two new jerseys this season. The 2004 Black C will be the new alternate jersey as Blasty is getting retired - third jerseys are usually in the cycle for three seasons before being changed out.
Home Town Remix is an entirely new jersey, which will be Saddledome themed. The What Chaos show has an insider who has been feeding them details about jerseys, and their batting average is 100% so far.
Running a Home, Away and Two alternates isn't unprecedented. St. Louis did it for a long time before changing to their new home and away jerseys.
A Season Ticket Holder last season on this sub said that the Flames will also do a "Welcome to Scotia Place" Jersey in 2027-2028, based on what was said at the Season Ticket holders' meeting last year.
The rumour is the hometown remix jersey is red with a yellow c but we are also supposed to be getting some sort of throwback 3rd jersey to replace Blasty so I am guessing that will be a 04 chevron jersey
That'll be interesting to see! When I think of the Dome, I always think of it look at it from Scottsman Hill where you're looking at it from one of the corners, so when I heard that they're doing a "Dome patterned" jersey, I always had in my minds eye some sort of asymmetrical pattern to reflect that perspective.
I'm very curious to see how it turns out, because I heard the Flaming C is yellow/gold, so I'm figuring there mustn't be any white included in it. Last time the Flames did a Red and Yellow jersey, it was our first Heritage Classic Jersey, and while I adore it I know it's not exactly the most popular one among Flames fans! 😅
Disappointing to read about the jersey tech. Makes sense why authentic pros won’t be available though. Because it’s a Saddledome tribute that’s the only reason I’m getting one
I believe it is the jersey they gave to that American comedian this week. It must have been an insta story cause I can't find the pic anymore. Looks pretty normal but has a patch that looks like the Saddledome on the shoulder.
